This is brilliant! Has kept my convertible bug dry and frost free. The best thing I have ever bought. Is thick and waterproof. Easy to put on and off. Fits my 2003 perfectly. Save time with scraping the first off and also reduces condensation in wet weather. Protects from sun keeping the car cooler.

Good enough fit for a 2012 VW Beetle, but would be five stars if the rear end of it covered the entirely of the rear window. Would give 10 stars if it went over the boot badge too as this has a tenancy to get iced and you can't open the boot. There is a handy tab saying front on it too, which is helpful, especially if trying to cover the vehicle solo. Well priced and good quality. The metal hooks do seem to be painted /plastic pared so hopefully won't damage wheel trims.

Super easy to attach and works really well. Only slight issue is the storage once off as it’s so big and not easy to get back into carry bag. Great buy for any bugs, no more worries about windows getting iced up and the dreaded crack or motor on winder breaking!

Like others have already pointed out, the cover isn’t quite big enough for a Beetle cabriolet, leaving the area beneath the rear window exposed. The straps are elasticated and, when it’s windy, the adjusting buckle slips which allows the cover to balloon upwards. I’ve taken to wrapping the wing mirror ears with rope, this helps. After 6 months ownership, the straps are all tearing the cover; it might last through the summer but I’m expecting to replace the cover before next winter. I’ll buy a different cover.

Fits on my 2004 vw convertible really well. Has kept the windows ice free in the cold spell we are having. I brought this item a few months ago and wanted to see how well it worked before reviewing the item. If I need to replace it I would buy the same item again. Arrived quickly and well packaged.

Fairly impressed with this half cover. After having tried cheap, full covers in the past and given up, it's much easier to put on and take off the car quickly compared to full size covers and being a heavier, stronger, stiffer fabric it doesn't billow and look as though it'll break away with the slightest breeze. Having said that I live in a windy part of the UK and I do take it off when it does blow stronger. It has a synthetic flock lining so as long as I wash the upper part of the car it shouldn't scratch the roof, it fits very well but it's a tiny bit short at the rear if you have the JCW rear spoiler, you need to unscrew the aerial too as there's no hole in the top for it but I prefer that. Straps are elastic and adjustable, time will tell how durable they are though. Stitching seems good all over. I chose silver so that it acts as a sun shield in the summer too, keeping the inside of the car cool. It reminds me of those heat reflective firefighting suits they use at airports. It comes with its own storage bag. I do have 3 criticisms though: 1) It's short on the rear window if you have a JCW. 2) It would really benefit from having a single strap in the centre at the rear. Loose tail is caught by the wind. 3) It has metal hooks that need to be placed carefully to avoid scratches in the plastic or paintwork. When fitting it's nearly impossible to prevent the metal hooks at the end of the straps from clanging against the side of the car! I aim to replace them with plastic hooks ASAP. Would I recommend this though? Yes, it's great value for money and quick and easy for one person to put on or take off and store.
