Great item
Item works great. Easy to use. The cable is stored nicely in the bottom so it doesn't get damaged. Would recommend!

Works with MacBook Pro
This cd/dvd drive is a compact and functional little piece of kit. I am a MacBook Pro user and I needed something that would allow me to burn files to a disk for work. There was no need to install any drivers or other software as the MacBook connected to it immediately so it’s effectively ready to use straight away. The instructions enclosed with the hardware are clear and concise.The USB-C and USB connectors are on a short cable that is incorporated into the hardware and there is no option to use an external cable. This suited my needs but may not be useful to others.It’s compact design is also a plus as it allows me to slip it into my laptop bag with no issues.For the price, this cd/dvd drive is great value for money.

Does the job while being much quieter than I expected
Does the job while being quite quiet. Simple to use as and when you need, and its been a great addition to my set up. I tend to prefer owing physical audiobook CDs too, so its been great being able to listen some great ones over the last few days.It looks good on my desk too and is out of the way.

Garbage
Absolute garbage. Reccomend avoiding completely. Half the time it doesn't recognise I've put a disk in at all, and then when I eventually got that to work by setting the region in windows settings (why I had to do this, or where it tells you to do this is a mystery), but it was incapable of ripping a simple audio CD. Failed half the time, and when it did succeed it was dead slow and the audio came out crackling. I replaced it with a completely different drive and had zero problems.

Good replacement for failed built-in drive
Nice looking piece of kit, appears well made. It's light and a good overall size for packing when on the move. Worked spot on when plugged in without any need for additional software and read a cd-r without any problems. Very satisfied with my choice even though there were cheaper ones available for sale.

Fantastic product!!
Nice and easy to use. Just plugged it into the USB port on my laptop and followed the onscreen prompt. If I found it easy to use then so can anyone. Such great value too.

Not plug + play. Pretty poor set up overall but plays ok + is cheap .....
USB C not recognised by my laptop so had to try adaptor - worked by changing USB C plug to USB A + then back via adaptor to USB C!! Laptop hasn't got USB A socket (hence why I bought this🤔☹️) - worked via USB A to C adaptor🤔🤯This is NOT plug + play as it requires a driver or DVD player/record software.Still, I picked it up for under £12 so am not going to stress - it will be handy for travel and it is slim so will fit easily in laptop bag. It is quite quiet.Had I paid full price this would be a 2* review and a return, but for the price + convenience I'll give it an extra star🤪🤪Don't buy it if you are unfamiliar with dvd drivers and software etc.
