Great cleaning product
Started using this product on a recommendation from the husband of my wife's co-worker who is an auto mechanic. Use it in our Hoover Floormate hard floor cleaner and it makes out vinyl floors shine. I was about to give up on the floormate using the Hoover standard cleaning fluid since it didn't really work that well. After switching to Superclean, I wouldn't be without it. Does an excellent job and did not harm the machine,

This stuff is no joke!!!
I don't ever write reviews on things, but I saw a couple of negative reviews and thought I'd shed some light on this product. I originally went to buy another know brand and they were out of it, so I read a couple reviews on this and I figures I'd give it a try. I needed it to clean a motor I just got that had 250k + miles on it. Needless to say, it looked like they never changed the oil because it had burnt into the heads, pistons, rods, etc... I was really skeptical about it and used it full strength. I was prepared to do alot of scrubbing, so I sprayed it all over the heads and grabbed the stuff to scrub it with. That's when I noticed it starting to literally eat it away. Instead of scrubbing, I just kept spraying (I poured this into a spray bottle) and watches it just fall off. There were only a couple areas that I had to scrub, but it was minor and didn't take long. It cleaned everything perfect and I couldn't be happier. It was going to cost me $140 at a shop to have the block, heads, pistons, and rods hot dipped. I had $17+ in it for two bottles at a local store. This stuff is heavy duty and I recommend gloves, because it isn't very kind to your hands. Here's a pic of the heads before and after.

Best scale model paint and chrome remover by a long shot
I was always skeptical of the raves by other modelers about using super clean to remove chrome and paint from models. In the past I used oven cleaner, brake fluid, bleach, alcohol... etc. Some plastic kits have terrible chrome plating that needs to be removed and painted for realism. Everything I tried never took the yellow varnish off the plastic that is under the chrome. Super Clean does everything.. paint, chrome, varnish, everything down to raw plastic. It is also much less dangerous than everything I used before. If you put a little in a sealed plastic container you can use it several times. This gallon will last a very long time.

Excellent Product
I bought it thing if it doesn’t work I will return it. It was shocking when I saw all the grease come out of my kitchen cabinets. I was afraid it might damage the paint but it didn’t. I prepared it like instructed and sprayed it and wipe off after 5 minutes with a wet fabric cloth.

A little goes a long way
Great for mixing in water and spraying on engine bay of my f-150. Spray on warm engine ( put aluminum foil over the top of your alternator to keep water out). Wait a few minutes and hose off dirt. Works really well on tough cleaning jobs depending on how strong you mix it.

Product is good
I had some extra time, waiting in the jury pool, so I Googled all the items listed on the MSDS. All of them make for a good degreaser in a modern sense, though it does have sodium hydroxide in it, it also has an enzymatic cleaner and a cationic surfactant. Ingredient CAS # Weight, % Po|y(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), .aIpha.-(4-nonylphenyl)-.omega.-hydroxy,branched 127087-87-O 1 - 5 Tetrasodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate 64-02-8 0.5- 1.5 Sodium metasilicate 6834-92-0 1 - 5 Sodium hydroxide 1310-73-2 1 - 5 Ethylene glycol monobutyl ether 111-76-2 1 - 5 I agree with another reviewer in the wearing gloves comment the stuff did pull oil out of my fingertips when I used it it's eight dollars at local wa1mart. The smell is not very harsh. I used it on a glass cooktop with ceramic tile and grout. The grout: a yellow liquid floated to the top after sitting for a few minutes (the old cooking oil). I needed to rinse three times with a wet sponge afterwards. Update: 15-Dec-2013: I still like it for cleaning the kitchen cooktop, and it works well cleaning the (plastic) fan ducts and the (aluminum) fan intake vent screens on the above-cooktop microwave. Sometimes it just won't work on something. Last night, after doing an (Mobil-1) oil change I wanted to clean the yellow plastic catcher for the oil recycling jug. I sprayed this on, let sit awhile, then rubbed it in a little with fingers, and rinsed. The oil mostly stayed put with just a few drops coming off balled up into tiny droplets, like oil&vinegar salad dressing. I hit the stuff next with some SC Johnson Pro Heavy Duty degreaser, but same outcome. Next, tried some acid-based HVAC cleaner, but didn't work. I then hit it with some old-stock Breeze I still have, and that did the best job, but not 100%. I don't know why motor oil on a yellow plastic catcher should be so hard to remove. I'm sure a small amount of gasoline would have rinsed it away but then I have to worry about the vapor in a trash can until it all evaporates. Update 14-Apr-2016: I found CRC 14416 Hydro Force Industrial Strength degreaser works well on the motor oil on a yellow plastic catcher and an orange funnel. It works better than Breeze on removing the motor oil, and it's not nearly as hard on my hands as Super Clean is.

Dilution APC
This has become my do everything household cleaner for the most part. Anything that doesn't need to be food safe gets a hit of this stuff. I use it on everything from the barbecue girl to the rims on my car. It's really about dilution and knowing what you're doing. Read up and save some money
