This product was selected by and for the Lady of the House. The following review is written by her and edited by me.I ordered this Jumbo Teaching Ruler, Large Protractor and Geometry Compass a long time ago. I thought it may be useful in my quilt making.Thinking that I had opened it and lost the instructionsā¦I kept searching for them somewhere lost in the mess, but to no avail. My husband put the handles on the protractor and ruler for me, and after many attempts to figure out the compass (even he couldnāt figure out how the darn thing worked) we gave up.Then I went to the 2 other product reviews I read that one mentioned that there were no instructions included with the product. So after looking at all the photos included, there was still no showing of the compass put together. When I unscrewed the screw one of the 4 pieces that hold the pencil broke off. I was still able to insert a pencil but the pencil needs to be a short one. The small suction cup did not stick to my wood table. Oh well, it doesnāt seem like much to actually work or brother with.As for the other pieces, the scale on the bottom of the protractor appears to be in inches and laid out very strangely with metric markings. The ruler has both centimeters and and inches and seems OK. It is advertised for teaching in the classroom, But, Iām not so sure about that. In the absence of instructions⦠IMHO⦠This āTeaching Kitā is lost in translation.

ARE NOT A HEAVY-DUTY PLASTIC. LACKS DURABILITY.
I like that both the ruler and the protractor each have their own handle and that I do not need to interchange one handle and share it between the two measuring devices. The ruler appears to be accurate with its increments for measuring inches and centimeters accurately. Iām not having much luck getting the hard plastic suction cup on the compass to work adequately. A rubber suction would have been a better design choice. There are no instructions provided for setting-up the compass. These 3 plastic measuring devices are quite large, which I like and appreciate. However, the plastic used is a bit lightweight and lacks the durability factor for longevity of use. A critical component of the protractor is the green arrow, yet the arrow is rather flimsy. The magnets on the protractor and the ruler are not strong enough to firmly hold either of the measuring device securely to my magnetic board. Both the protractor and the ruler slide down the magnetic board. On the whole, my suggestion would be to use and handle with care and to be gentle when using these 3 plastic measuring devices (protractor, compass, ruler), and avoid having them be dropped on a hard floor.
