very cool catchpole, very durable, and easy to use
I don't have much use for a catch pole, but I have found myself in a position a few times over the years, where I wish I had one. It is one of those things it is better to have n not need. I deal with a lot of stray dogs in my area, we have even considered opening a rescue lol.this thing is built great though, really durable, and very easy to use. It has a shovel like handle, that is very easy to maintain your grip on. The loop is large, and made of a tough cable that holds its shape. That way the loop stays open for you, no hands involved. Just slipped the loop over the dogs head, and gently pulled back on the handle, it allows you to safely leash a dog, And keep them at a distance. This pole works great, exactly as designed, and intended. Very sturdy, and easy to use. Be careful though, please be gentle with strays. You could actually Inflict an injury with this device if you are not careful. Still a great product, and a great price. Highly recommended.

Points of concern
I bought this Animal Catch Pole expecting it to help me catch those stray animals with Aggressive safely, but I found several problems. First, although the pole is long enough, the material feels fragile and unstable, which makes me worry that it will break at a critical moment. Second, the ring design is not flexible enough and it is quite troublesome to adjust, which makes it difficult to quickly fix the target in practical situations. Finally, the catch ring on the pole is very small and I was worried that I would be attacked if I couldn't catch it in one go, which made me feel unsafe. Overall, this product has a lot of room for improvement in terms of materials and design. I hope the manufacturer can solve these problems to improve the user experience.

Hope to not have to use this!
I don't know what it is about me and finding random dogs, but I have a habbit of it. I have maybe saved 6 dogs over the last year. The last one I found was a chiwawa, and man was it mean. It tried to bite me multiple times. That is when I decided to get this to keep in my truck. It is well made, and it feels really sturdy. The only thing That was not clear was that the length of the pole is adjustable, but it then shortens the rope to put around their neck. So don't expect the full length advertised to be able to stay away from the dog

Highly recommended for responsible wildlife management and public safety!
This pole leash is an effective tool for safely restraining potentially rabid animals while ensuring public safety. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use it responsibly and humanely:1. Catch and Secure the AnimalUsing a pole leash allows you to restrain a rabid or dangerous animal effectively, preventing escape or harm to others. This method provides control of the situation until wildlife services arrive or further decisions are made. Even if wildlife services cannot respond immediately, they can often guide you on handling the situation humanely.2. Contact Wildlife ServicesNotify local animal control or wildlife services as soon as possible. Clearly describe the situation, including the animal's behavior and the fact that it is restrained. Follow their instructions, as they are trained and equipped to manage rabid animals, including euthanasia and testing.3. Humane Strangulation (If Advised)If wildlife services confirm it is appropriate, the pole leash can be used to humanely incapacitate the animal through strangulation. This method minimizes suffering while keeping the animal’s brain tissue intact for rabies testing. It also reduces the risk of spreading biological fluids or contamination.4. Sterilize the AreaAfter the animal is euthanized, clean the area with hydrogen peroxide or another suitable disinfectant to neutralize any potential rabies virus in bodily fluids. Dispose of gloves and cleaning materials as biohazard waste, if possible, to maintain safety.5. Preserve the Animal for TestingPlace the animal’s remains in a sealed container or double-bagged, following the directions of wildlife authorities. Transport it to the designated facility for rabies testing. Avoid direct contact with the carcass or fluids to prevent exposure.
