G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero! Compendium One (1)

Great collection of fond memories on a good and affordable book, paper is not high grade slick so be careful, binding is very good for such a large paperback, not too heavy compared to DC or Marvel omnibus'. If you love G.I. Joe then DEFINITELY buy this.

This collection is a fantastic piece of nostalgia. Easy to read and flip through. Super thick too, not sure everyone may realize it’s approximately 3-4 inches thick. If you were a fans back in the day it’s worth your money, pick it up!

I wasn’t sure exactly what I was gonna get. I was wanting all the original Gi Joe comics in one book. That’s what I got! All the original comics! Issues 1-50! I only had a few as a kid, and I read them over, and over again. I can’t WAIT for Compendium 2 to come out! I’ve ordered Gi Joe books before, and they were not the original issues. They were either new versions of the original, or modern stories all together. This Compendium is all THE ORIGINAL ISSUES! It was a little hard to tell looking at the cover. I’m SO EXCITED to take a trip down memory lane. The stories that Larry Hama wrote were ABSOLUTELY LEGENDARY! This book is HUGE! If you loved Gi Joe as a kid, and want to have all those stories in one collection, then DEFINITELY pick this up! 60 bucks is a GREAT price!

So wonderful to have my old comics in a compact form. So much of the military detail that Larry Hama put into these stories was above my comprehension as a child/teen. Re-reading them as an adult gives me a fresh take on who he was and what he has been through.

An amazing trip down memory lane. A must for Joe fans. Yo, Joe!

If you were a gi joe fan in the early to mid 80’s than you probably read these comics.Well great news, this over stuffed volume of the first 50 issues from marvel comics are in this book .Led by herib trimpe and Mike zeck they bring you some of the most entertaining and character development in the history of gi joe. A super decent price for some of the most important comics from the 80’s. So if you are a fan, slap down your money and get ready for adventure. And now you know… and knowing is half the battle yo joe.

Great collection of timeless classic comics.

On one hand, great to have the original stories in hand despite in being one bleeping huge book. the other being this is why I have a Kindle Fire... but the book was cheaper. lol
