This is a well designed and made item at a very good price. The 4 rubber seals should be waterproof if tightened adequately although I should be reluctant to expose it fully to the elements for full mains voltages although it is probably up to the job. Having installed just one of these to join 3 core flex to install a replacement LED floodlight there are some issues if the job has to be done in an awkward position, in my case at the top of a ladder under the eaves with short leads. The screw connections do not cope well with thin wires and the conductors should not be stripped back more than about 4mm. The outer sheathing needs to be stripped back at least 1 cm from the stripped wire to allow the wiring to be handled but little more than that or the outer cover will not be within the water seal. It all became much easier once I applied solder to the stripped wires to make it easier to position them into the connectors. In this I was grateful that I had bought one of these from LIDL 5 years ago. Overall, it has to be 5 * as I have been unable to find anything suitable and I am pleased with the result. A PZ1 screwdriver in good condition is essential for the connectors.

Well made item that does the job effectively. I used it to repair the cable to my lawnmower, which I had accidentally cut. Once it’s tightened up there is a good seal so you can be confident it’s safe.

Have had larger ones of these before and these seem just as good though a bit more fiddly to use. Still did not take that long to wire up and good that it came with a suitable, very small bladed, screwdriver. Has been out in weather for some time and believe it still works though as only feeding trace heater in sealed cabinet not easy to be sure. UPDATE: Although I have no problem with this product or the seller I was disappointed to be told by them that if I wrote a 5 star review they would send me a free gift. Clearly unethical. OK, to my mind, for a gift for a review but not if have to write a 5 star one. So just read reviews with caution. Would use again if need more.

Easy to use and feels like decent quality. Uses cross head screws in the cable connector which is unusual and caused me a walk back to the tool box. Was going to remove a star for that but it feels harsh.

Perfect little item to join2 cables together. Purchased a new exterior floodlight. But only came with a meter of cable attached. As the new light is a sealed unit needed a way to connect the cable to existing wireing. This little connector did the job. Well made and sturdy. Does not look out of place behind the new light

Bought a pack of two to use outdoors to extend where I can put a security light. Very easy to use (make sure you are sure you're buying the right size for your cable or it just won't fit) and looks resilient. Make sure you have a very small cross head (Phillips) screwdriver to install. It's small, but I didn't find it fiddly at all to use. Just put the two retaining pieces on each cable, then screw in your wires (labelled on the plastic) and then tighten. I hand tightened the inner and outer (the outer clamps onto your cable). Only had light rain on it, but all fine so far. I might stick some clear sealant on it. I would not immerse in water for any period of time, as water gets into everything eventually. Think it took under 5 minutes to use and that included stripping the wire. Fwiw, I used to be an electrical engineer and I think it is fit for purpose. Really recommended and I'd certainly buy again if I need to repair or join a cable.

It can be a challenge to manoeuvre the wires into the screw holes, given that you cannot cut the outer sleeve back very far.

Ce connecteur est donné pour un câble de 4 à8 mm. Un câble U1000 fait 7.9mm de diamètre.Il est impossible, de le monter car la bague est trop serrée et lorsque l'on serre la bague le câble tourne avec et les connections internes se rompent.... D'autre part, la dimension est trop faible et il est très compliqué de couper les extrémités à la bonne longueur. Il faut des doigts de fée pour le monter.

Der Kabelverbinder ist auch für Laien leicht zu handhaben, die Anleitung auf der Packung bebildert und gut zu verstehen. Ich habe das Produkt schon einmal vor ca. 1 Jahr gekauft, es funktioniert einwandfrei und hält, was der Hersteller verspricht. Ich benutze seit längerem auch Mehrfachverbinder bzw. Abzweigdosen des gleichen Herstellers im Garten und hatte bisher nicht einen einzigen Ausfall. Ich kann das/die Produkt/Produkte vorbehaltlos empfehlen.
