The complete guide
Listen up, I know you are paging through what seems to be an endless number of wireless magsafe chargers for your phone and come on, they all look about the same and they all definitely do the same thing, although they may go about it in slightly different ways. But they all have to adhere to certain standards that the phone manufacturers have set up. So here are a few questions I had and I’m here to answer them because you may have the same questions. And unfortunately the ads sometimes don’t tell you this important stuff.WHAT IS ITThis device is designed to charge your magsafe-enabled phone (in other words iphone) wirelessly. It may or may not charge other devices that are equipped with wireless charging capabilities but that’s not its main function. The design of this one is that it is basically a disc that adheres magnetically to your phone, it has a removable USB cable (which is a big advantage over those that have a permanently attached cable) and it does not come with a wall charger. The design of this one is what the technical sources say is currently (August 2024) the optimal power required, although that will probably change when the new 2025 models are introduced at the end of 2024.HOW DOES IT WORKYou stick it to the magnets on the back of your phone and plug it into a charger. It’s called wireless because it charges your phone wirelessly, not because it doesn’t use a wire to plug into the wall. That’s another kind of charger that has a built in battery, those are usually referred to as phone boosters.DOES IT WORKThere is no absolute answer for that question, the measurable performance is going to depend on the model and condition of your phone and its battery, what kind of wall charger you use and if you have your phone in a case (and how thick that case is). I don’t get a lot of value out of reviews that rave about how good or bad something works, they’re not me and I’m not them. The best answer is to buy it and try it and keep it if you like it.IS IT SMALLI’m not sure that’s really a question and I don’t understand why the seller wastes so much time on it. Magsafe changers are small, the disc type are all small, in fact there are several smaller than this one. Who cares? That extra millimeter isn’t going to make any difference to me when I travel with it, and it makes zero difference when I’m at home. Yes, it’s small.WHAT ELSE DOES IT DOI’m glad you asked because that’s the number one reason I hit the buy button. This is one of a handful of magsafe chargers out there that has a built-in kickstand so I can prop my phone up at the correct angle to use it as an alarm clock. I looked closely at all of the others and there was only one, seriously only one, that came close to this and the only thing that swayed me was that the other one was very thin and I thought it would be a hassle to pull my phone off the stand every morning. The extra thickness and the squared off shape of this one makes it a lot easier to simply twist it off.WHAT’S IT MADE OFIt seems to be made entirely of a plastic material but whatever it is has the benefit that it is both lightweight and rugged at the same time.IS IT DURABLEI don’t know if a truck can run over it but it does seem to be well designed for travel, which is mainly thereason I bought it. The easel stand folds neatly into the unit and the rounded corners not only keep it from rolling around in my luggage but as mentioned, it is far easier to twist it off the magnet on the back of my phone than any disc shaped charger out there.WHO IS LISENI’m not sure I can answer who they actually are but I can say the stuff they sell isn’t generic, it all seems to be unique to them and almost always designed with better ideas than the endless stream of companies with no imagination. I hope they listen because I’m going to share a couple of fixes later on in my review that make this product even better. This is only the second product I’ve bought from them but my impression is that they are not a no-name generic brand. From what I’ve seen their products are made far better than what I would expect at the price and they are one of the most innovative companies out there. They seem to have a good grasp on how to make magsafe devices and maybe that’s the bottom line. I think they are a brand that’s not well known yet but if they keep on being as good as they are I think they are going to be one of the leading suppliers of phone accessories.THEY SHOULDALisen missed the boat on two things that would have made a really nice gadget into something even better. One is that being small and light is a good thing until you actually use it to prop up your phone and you realize the hard plastic foot slides all over your desk or nightstand. Boo. I improved on that by cutting a tiny strip of self-adhesive rubber pad and sticking it where the foot meets the table. Presto, no more slipping around and it doesn’t affect the use of the thing in any way. My second idea is that some of the one star reviews complain that they don’t like having the charging cable coming out of the left (or right) because of the way they have their desktop or nightstand arranged. No worries, I simply added a right-angle USB-C adapter easily available from dozens of different sources. But wouldn’t it have been nice if Lisen had listened and made the cable they included with a right-angle tip so there would never be a concern which direction the cable exits?YES NO MAYBEOk this question is a little redundant because I already answered the question if you should buy it. I never give a yes or no answer to that because I don’t know you and how you’re going to use it but I will say that it is a yes for me. It was a last minute decision because once again I forgot to plug my phone in overnight and woke up to an almost dead battery. A wireless charging stand is the answer, I know that, but all of the half dozen ones I own got accidentally put in storage in another city and when I go to bed at night I never remember to plug my phone in, plus I’m spoiled, I like having my phone turn in an alarm clock if I prop it up at the right angle and this stand does exactly that. I was down to deciding between about 5 different brands when I remembered how absolutely satisfied I am with the Lisen magsafe stand I installed in the center console of my car and when I saw they made this it was an instant decision. I like it and it was a yes for me.

Great charger, but even better customer service
I purchased this little device for an international trip. I wanted to be able to charge my phone and my watch with one lightweight device. My checklist for a what I was looking for was as follows:1. Minimizing the amount lengthy cables I need to pack in my backpack2. Reducing overall weight of my travel bags3. Reducing the amount of charger heads I need (often with adapters/converters for other countries)4. MagSafe so I didn't have to plug it in5. Being able to stand up so I can watch videos while it charged, and so it would go into "landscape mode" when inactive[6. I saw some chargers that also charged AirPods and Apple Pens, but didn't think I needed the extra weight in those since I don't charge those daily like I do with the Phone and Watch.]This charger ticked all the boxes! The charger folds down into a square that's about a third of the size of my iPhone 14 Pro (not Max). The thickness is about the same as my phone. It's very lightweight plastic - I thought it would be flimsy but it holds its own quite well! The watch charger folds out into a stand where the phone is on display in the front, and the watch can charge in the back. The angle of the watch stand can be adjusted all the way to being flat if you want to charge them next to each other. An added bonus is the included cable is USB-C, but comes with a USB-A adapter so it's cross-compatible with various charger heads!Speaking of charger heads, I did run into an issue where when my phone was at very low battery levels, the watch would repeatedly disconnect and reconnect. There didn't seem to be enough power to charge both simultaneously when the phone was taking most of the juice. I sent an email to their customer support and they walked me through all the troubleshooting options and we figured out that the charger head was likely not strong enough. I switched from the iPhone 1Amp charger head (small cube) to a 3Amp charger head, and sure enough, both were charging together again! If you only have a 1Amp charger head, you can still charge one or the other, but I'd recommend a higher Amp to be safe.Overall, this has been a nifty, lightweight travel device that I bring around for any overnight trip now. I have a larger Belkin charger stand for my nightly use, but that is not very portable, so it's great to now have the best of both worlds. The device works great (with the right charger head), and it's great having the peace of mind knowing that LISEN stands behind their products and offers excellent customer service to ensure you get what you pay for.

A great additional to your accessories arsenal!
This is a great puck to have when you need the flexibility of length of cable and easy storage. I like how it has a port to plug your own length cable and detach it so you can stow it easily in your case. It does get a little warm but it is to be expected.

Great stand for traveling - use phone in night stand mode and charge 2 devices at one time.
This thing is great and does everything i wanted it to do. I already had a folding travel 3 device magsafe charger, but it laid flat, so when i charged my phone while traveling, I couldn't use it in nightstand mode. I saw this and thought it was worth a try for the price. it is very light and compact. It tucks away nicely in one of the small pockets of my travel pack.the package comes with a long 60w usb-c cord with a built-in usb-a adapter. it does not come with the power brick. also, it is only compatible with fast-charger bricks greater than 18w. you can't connect it to your pc or a usb hub.also, this will only charge 2 devices at one time. i found that this was fine for me because i didn't charge my airpods nightly, so for the weight and size savings, i was fine with charging only 2 at a time. the apple watch charger is on a swing out stand. it has a stronger magnet than even the OEM apple charger, so when you connect your watch, it stays put and doesn't slip off. the one thing to keep in mind is that you have to thread the charging stand through your apple watch band, but it's not a deal breaker. you can also lay it flat if you don't want to use your phone in nightstand mode. The swing out stand is stiff enough that it keeps it upright and doesn't bend on the weight of the phone which I've found other chargers to do. I highly recommend this. i'm now finally able to use my phone in nightstand mode while traveling.
