This is a huge time saver and it actually works! We live in Florida and it takes so long to devein and peel shrimp and this tool literally made me save 20 minutes easily. MUST BUY FOR SHRMIP LOVERS

Don’t expect the experience to ever be simple, but this tool does help. It seems to work best on everything except super jumbo shrimp. Don’t give up on it quickly because you really have to get used to it. Once you get the handle of it, the tool truly works. Save time and feel more sophisticated!

Very good. I tried a similar plastic tool but the small blade on this model works much better. Speeds up cleaning shrimp a lot. The vein usually ends up on the blade or shell. Very efficient.

I think Toadfish makes the best oyster shucker out there and I own 30 . I expected to love this but I do not at all. I like the cheap red detainers that cost $5 (Challenge 50187 Shrimp Cleaner on Amazon) The first time I used this I sliced my finger which was my fault because I am so used to using the cheap deveiners that do not have a slicing blade on them I did not realize I had to be careful. The diameter of the end of the Toadstool deviser is too big and it does not slide in as easily as the cheap red ones. I also can not hold the shrimp the same way I do with the red one for fear of getting cut. Overall I can just fly with the cheap red one and it is very easy. The Toadstool is clunkier and takes me a lot longer and does not feel good in the hand. I have been working on tweaking my use of it in case it has the potential to be better than the red one and I have just not figured out how to use it the best way . So far I still hate it. The Toadstool is made well and will never break like the cheap red ones. Tip: when I am traveling and do not have a deveiner I cut off the shrimp tails and that makes the shrimp release from the shell much easier when peeling by hand.

I used it for the first time before Christmas. It works very well to remove the shell and the vein of the shrimp. It didn't work as well as the demonstration in the videos, but it worked better the more I used it. It worked better than other products I have used. I definitely recommend it.
