So, here in upper east Tennessee, our house seems to be a magnet for barking dogs. The last 2 sets of neighbors who have moved in next door have decided it is a wise decision to put their dogs in a newly erected fence at night, 20 feet from 2 out of 3 of our bedroom windows. (Yes, 2 seperate people that moved in installed temporary fencing next to our bedrooms.) Similar to Disney movies, but far more irritating, were the serenades to the moon and the other neighbors' dogs this doggy duet would screech every night starting at sunset. After trying everything from soundproofing material, animal control, airhorns, finally to a pillow shoved between panes of glass in windows, we ordered this as a last resort. It worked! For the first time in over a year, I got a full night's sleep because my light sleeper was able to sleep. This was a miracle at our house! Multiple settings, sound choices and volume control.Sleep. Sweet sleep.

Everything works great except when you crank it to maximum volume the speaker rattles. For a sensitive sleeper like me this is bothersome. So if you purchase this item understand if you crank the volume all the way up the speaker will rattle. Only option is to lower the volume to about 75% and eliminate the rattle.

This has been a lifesaver!! My son always slept with a radio in his room- like since he was an infant. But after 20 years of use, my childhood boom box finally gave up. I bought this because it was cheap and didn’t want to spend too much money on a sound machine because I wasn’t sure my son would transition well from music to white noise. He LOVES IT! The sounds are great. We all liked it so much that i bought a second for my husband and my room!!

Built solid. It does get a bit static-y when you turn up the volume but it is expected with a small speaker in a $20 product. You can use batteries or plug it into an outlet which is a big plus. I use it for my dog at night to help him sleep and not bark at every leaf that blows by outside.

Very nice looking product but the speaker quality is horrible. My family mostly sleeps with the white noise but you absolutely can’t with this one, sounds like the speakers are busted. Very disappointing. I bought this one for my teenager and at first he wanted me to return it but gave it another try with the rain noise. The speakers aren't quite as bad using that one so instead of going through the hassle of returning it, I will just settle. I should have just took the 10 min drive to Walmart and bought one.Changing my review. I received a second unit that is what I need. Clear quality sounds.

Bought this because I share a room with a loud snorer and I’ve tried using a fan to drown her out and earplugs but neither worked so I decided to get this because I could plug headphones in and drown her out. It DID prevent me from hearing her snore BUT it was incredibly annoying. The white noise & fan options had a very annoying sound that replayed when I used headphones and it became the only sound I could focus on. The ocean was nice but everytime the waves “crashed on the shore” it was WAY too loud but if I turned it down it was too quiet. The water options made me have to pee and the other options were too quiet or subtle. So in conclusion this did NOT work well for me with headphones but it could work for someone who wants to use it without headphones. Also it was nice that it can be powered by a cord or batteries and it was small enough to fit in bed with me. I wish it had worked out better for me.

Revised*After leaving my previous review I was sent a new Rocam Sleeping Noise machine. I do feel like the new one they sent me does have better quality sounds. They stated that the original sleep machine I ordered may have been damaged in shipping. I feel they went above and beyond the average customer service by doing this and sending me a kind letter as well. My daughter and I will continue to use our new sleep machine! Thanks!My original review:I purchased this machine to help aid in my toddler’s sleep. I am not impressed. All the sounds qualities are very unauthentic and basic. Compared to my free sleep app on my phone I prefer my app over this. Also it only plays white noise sounds, some sad crummy “nature sounds” and some cricket noises. No lullaby. Better off playing YouTube lullaby videos or downloading a sleep app on a tablet.

I personally like the static noise the best on this machine. And it can definitely loud enough to drown out other noise. The customer service for this product is outstanding! For some reason my first one quit working when I moved it from one side of the room to the other. I literally unplugged it from one socket, and plugged it into another and it wouldn’t come on anymore. I tried other sockets to make sure. I emailed the customer service on the device on a Sunday. I expected a response in a few days, but they responded that day! They were so kind and sent me a new machine at no extra cost.
