Ordered for my son, had no idea what it was... he was so pleased

Thry are not cheap, But all model paints are expensive. These paints have allowed me to elevate my hobby painting to another level. I am extremely satisfied with these paints, and the holder it came with.

A very good selection of good quality paints from Army painters fanatic line. I've recently started dipping my brush into other paints and moving away from citadel paints. This was perfect for me to give me a bit of everything. It seems pricey and it is but you get a lot for your money. The paint stand is really nice too. My only criticism though, is that when I was putting together the stand I found some of the pieces needed a lot of force to go together and I broke a few parts. Didn't stop me from putting it together though. Other than that, the Paints are great, very good pigment and they go one very nicely.

This is a really great set of paints. Really pleased with the range of colours and quality of the paint.

I absolutely love this set of paints which consists of 50 little bottles of different colours including some skin tones, metallic colours and effects like blood in addition to the large selection of acrylics. The set also includes 2 brushes and a paint station which is a multi teared stand for storing and displaying all the paints. The stand arrives flat packed but takes minimal effort to put together and is a great way to present all the paints keeping them tidy and easier for using. I've been creating various models with a 3D printer for a while and have intended looking at painting them and exploring the best ways to achieve good results so this set has been a good way to start learning how to paint models and these paints have been working really well with 3D prints. Each little bottle has a couple of ball bearings to mix the paint when given a good shake and the paint comes out quite easily through the tip. The results have been varied depending on the filaments I use and how I finish the prints but so far I'm finding PLA is giving me better results and especially if I lightly sand the models first and then apply one or two coats of primer. These colours then look awesome and the acrylic colours provide a nice matt looking finish and bring the models to life. Now as I'm new to painting models I wouldn't say I've produced anything as good as the models on the vendors site, not even close, however I'm having immense fun with this set and I'm learning and improving with each model I create. For a set of this size the cost is quite high as you'd expect but the quality of what you get is excellent, however if you're new to this hobby like myself it may be worth looking at some of the smaller sets this vendor produces to get you started. Highly recommended.

This is a seriously excellent set of paints. Although primarily designed for painting highly detailed miniature figures used in Wargaming, they are very versatile and can be used in many other applications. Ship modelling, model trains and background figures and vehicles, aircraft, are all given an enhanced superior appearance with this high quality paint set. The 50 piece kit includes 40 x Acrylic paints, 3 x metallic, 3 x effects and 4 x washes. The acrylics are of exceptional quality with one application providing a nice deep colour coat. Each colour bottle contains two mixing balls, so simply shake each one before use and you're good to go. The tiny nozzle on each bottle ensures a precise amount of paint is dispensed. A very handy feature is the true colour description on each bottle, for example the bottle labeled "Imperial Navy" has a description of "Very Deep Blue" printed on the side. The metallic paints are of similar quality, and come in three colours, Plate Mail Metal, Greedy Gold and Weapon Bronze. The three Effects paints are Fresh Rust, True Blood and Oozing Vomit. The four washes are Dark Tone, Strong Skin Shade, Strong Tone and Soft Tone. To make finding the bottles easier, the acrylics have white caps, the metallic paints have black caps, the effects have green caps and the washes have red caps. When you have a number of bottles on the table, this cap colouring makes it very easy to distinguish between them. The kit comes with two fine brushes. The Armypainter base coating brush (BR7003) and the Character brush (BR7006). Both these brushes are of excellent quality and will last quite a while if looked after. Rinse in water after each colour change and store with bristles pointing up are the main requirements. The painting guide included with the kit is clear, comprehensive and makes for an essential read especially for newcomers to the hobby. It explains the importance of making a plan first before starting, and covers colour theory in good detail explaining what colours go together for best effect. By reading the booklet you will make big improvements in your model painting. There is so much more to learn about this hobby, and the booklet gives a great insight into all of this. It should be noted the booklet is free and it's well worth picking up a copy from your local stockist. Army painter also make colour primers in different colours to use on your miniatures prior to the main paint coats. An addition to the main kit is a free paint station, making storage and display of your paints even easier. The station is self assemble and made form good strong boarding, nothing flimsy here! I am getting into painting figures, I have acquired as much paint as I could from the craft stores but most of the paints I needed were out of stock or sold out. I figured it would be easier to buy it in bulk or buy the specific colors I needed on Amazon. This pack has every color I needed. My pack didn’t come damaged nor was any bottle leaking, Thankfully. The paint dries at good speed it gives me enough time to detail the colors out before it dries completely, the paint isn’t too thick nor thin, and doesn’t clump up my brushes or airbrush. It also comes with the agitator balls inside the paints to mix them thoroughly before use, the paints I bought at the craft store do not come with them, or at least the ones I bought don’t, so that is extremely helpful and pleasant! The paint is high quality, you’re honestly getting what you pay for. The price is good to me for good quality products. I’m very pleased with this purchase, I’ll definitely be buying again from this seller.
