I used them with my regular clothes and also to hold my breeches pant legs down inside my english boots. These are great to use when you want to wear your pant legs tucked into boots whether it's jeans, leggings... being elastic they give when you sit down but keep your pants legs inside your boots and prevent having them bunch up as they ride up when you sit down and when you stand back up you won't have them bunching up around your knees or the top of your boots.They're black elastic about an inch wide and they're adjustable too. The ends attach to your pant legs by clamping, you lift the top to open the jaws and close it to gently clamp. There are plastic circles inside the metal jaws with like teeth around the outer edges, the top fit inside the lower circle to clamp on and hold it. I've never had any clothing damaged using these either.These are also great for kids to clip their mittens/gloves onto coat sleeves so they don't lose them. And I'm sure I could find some other handy uses around the house for these LOL.These are a handy item to have around and these are well made, for the 4 pack VS the regular price $9.99 is great buy! These are basically the same as the straps that young hunt-seat/English horse riders use to hold breeches down over their jodhpur boots. They are easy to open and close/snap on and adjustable. These are a good deal - the price of a 4 pack of these is less than two x 2 packs of jodhpur straps from a tack store.
