These are amazing! So beautifully made and really good quality. The leather cover looks and feels lovely, and has a very nice metal closing clasp. The paper itself is also excellent. Great quality, textured, thick.. matches with the overall aesthetic perfectly. I bought one for my niece at Christmas, and just bought another for myself in January. Can't rate this highly enough. I've been getting fed up of cheap, mass-produced products that last a matter of weeks or at most don't see out the year, so this has been a refreshingly positive purchase. Highly recommend

This is an absolutely beautiful journal, purchased as a gift for my 9 year old daughter so she can communicate her feelings. She writes down how she's feeling in the journal and gives it to me to read when she's having a particularly tough time, and sometimes we will talk about it together, sometimes I will write back to her in the journal so that she can reassure herself by reading my words more than once. This has been a fantastic exercise in mindfulness for both of us, and helped her to communicate as an autistic preteen. The quality of this book has directly helped that to happen. It arrived well packaged in Amazon packing, and then inside was a box made from strong cardboard in the shape of a book, this opens (with an elastic fastener) to reveal the beautiful leather bound journal tucked within. My daughter is particularly fascinated with the tree of life, and the four elements of nature, at the moment and so she was immediately entranced by the stamp work on the leather cover. I must admit I am too, it is absolutely stunning, very tactile, and beautiful to look at, it feels like you discover a new little detail every time you do. Upon opening the journal (another sturdy closure) there is a traditionally hand bound journal with thick, expensive and natural feeling paper. By that I think I mean that it feels handmade. Ink soaks into the page but not through it, so she can use pens on the paper without worrying about them bleeding through. My daughter keeps the journal inside its cardboard 'book' box, so she can stand it upright on her desk without fear of damaging it or of it sliding sideways. We have both been delighted by the quality and craftsmanship of this journal and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend the seller for this item, and look forward to purchasing a replacement once my daughter has filled this one with memories. This is a beautiful well made journal, with bookmark. I had a small issue with some corrosion on the metal clasp. I contacted the supplier direct, they were really helpful and quick to respond and resolved the issue, which was not their fault in a very efficient manner. Would purchase again with total peace of mind.

I hardly ever write reviews but I had to for this item. The quality and aesthetic of this journal is brilliant. The feel of the paper inside is also great and that type of material that can be written on with wet ink and it will not smudge easily. This will be my go to journal brand going forward.

GEWELDIG!!! Toen ik de foto's bij Amazon zag en de achtergrond van de journal las voelde ik een huppeltje in mijn hart. Instand verliefd. Toen ik haar ontving was ze nog mooier. Met een leuke tekst op de doos en een begeleidend briefje, wat als uitprobeer papier gebruikt kan worden, voelde ik me als een gewaardeerde klant. Alles is met zoveel zorg gemaakt en met respect voor iedereen. Het papier uitgeprobeerd met verschillende materialen. Voor mij voelt het als dun aquarel papier en bloed niet snel door en het "verkruimeld" niet. Er is fijn op te schrijven. In de toekomst, als deze vol begint te raken, koop ik er weer 1. Wunderschönes, handgemachtes Notiz- oder Tagebuch mit Ledereinband in einer Größe zwischen DinA6 und DinA5, das von der Optik her auch ein Dachbodenfund vom Urgroßvater sein könnte (was an der Stelle absolut positiv gemeint ist). Zusätzlich zu dem Büchlein beinhaltete das Paket noch ein Lesezeichen, ebenfalls aus Leder, und eine Nachricht, deren Rückseite als Probepapier für die Wahl des richtigen Stifts gedacht ist. Rundum gelungenes Notizbuch.

Paper is fountain pen ink friendly and barely becomes fuzzy if at all. So I am very pleased with that. Paper is porous and mediumly thick. It's not smooth like the pages of a Moleskin for example, but this is by design and part of the magic of a hand-made leather journal. Leather cover is beautifully engraved. It smells wonderful. The closing mechanism is great - very smooth and precise. I am impressed with that. And it comes in this awesome cardboard box which you can use to preserve the journal or turn into some other craft. I was pleasantly surprised by that.

Ein "Zauberhaftes Tagebuch", gute Qualität, sehr gute Verarbeitung. Für jemanden, der sowas mag... ein tolles Geschenk. Ich habe es mir auch selber gekauft.
