Decent sub if you don’t play your music a lot anything over its rms rating will fry the subwoofer I had them on the timpano 3k and gain wasn’t even half way up no bass was turned on and the low was turned up a little bit it played good for 2 days really good sounded great then both fried … but when I had them on a cheap audio bank 6k amp that’s cost 94 buck off Amazon it slammed with no problems because the amp isn’t a true 6k but it slaps so basically dnt over power them and there great

I have seen Timpano products pop up before but have been skeptical after seeing a lot of negative reviews. But I didnt know they made subwoofers, and with all the companies suddenly breaking into the market (Stinger, H YANKA, etc) with cheap/affordable woofers, I wanted to give it a try. Currently I have Infinity, Stereo Integrity, Skar, SSA, American Bass, Cerwin Vega, Audiopipe, Rockford Fosgate, Seventour, Black Diamond, Recoil, and AINAVI subs (maybe others Im forgetting), and have had many others previously, and Ive used them in various configs (sealed, ported, and IB), so I have moderate experience with subs. I am only powering the Timpano with a few hundred watts (RMS) right now, hooked to my 2.1 amp on my computer, but it sounds really nice so far. The box is some cheap box I got years ago in trade, I think it is under 2 cubes total and I have no idea what it is tuned at, but it did well with my cheap Audiopipe till that spontaneously died, so I thought this would be a suitable replacement. So far so good. It doesnt necessarily feel or look particularly high quality, but it sounds great so far. I havent been able to hammer on it yet since I didnt get it hooked up till late, but as it is in my home I wont ever really be blasting it anyways. Would be interesting to see what Timpano can do on the high end since I have 8000w RMS in my car right now, and a 12kw RMS amp in the other room for when I need additional power.

Overall, this is a fantastic subwoofer for the price point. It hits hard and has good control on the lows where I've had previous value subs that were unable to hit that. A good Ohm rating and by and large this thing really BOOMS.
