I love hair forks.  Out of all the tools we use to tame our long hair, the hair sticks and forks are the most gentle of them all.  It takes only a moment to swoop my hair into a pretty bun and secure it with a stick.That said, that are good ones and bad ones.  I've had bad luck with plastic, which is too soft and slick.  And the metal ones seem to constantly fall out.  I've had the same issues with the pretty bone ones.  (I had such a pretty bone stick with a horse on it.  But it fell out of my hair while shopping, and I could never find it.  Broke my heart.)   However, the wooden sticks are magical!  The grip is lovely and they stay in all day long.So I have had this other simple hair fork that I bought several years ago from a specialty site.  It's been my favorite, even though it was terribly expensive.  I wanted to get another as a backup, but couldn't remember where I got it.  I decided to see what Amazon had in the way of wooden hair forks.  And I found THESE!Surprisingly inexpensive, but very possible.  I took the plunge and they arrived very quickly. OH. MY GOSH! These hair forks are WONDERFUL!  They feel like a slightly larger (and very nice) version of that expensive one I have.  The grip is perfect and they have that same comforting smooth feel as I slide it into my hair.  I've had no issues with them at all.  I'm thrilled! Highly recommended!

The black one lasted several times—still good. The brown broke the first time I put it in my hair. I was being somewhat mindful.

Pretty pieces, but not all that functional. Less than a month in and one of these has already snapped clean in half as I tried to put it in my hair. Pretty disappointed. These are likely not the best suited to those with a lot of hair (volume or length), as the weight seems to pull the piece down on the scalp.

I really like the size, weight and texture of these. Unfortunately they are easily broken. The black on broke the first night I had it and I had to super glue it back together.
