Passionate Breezes / Gonna Getcha Love

A re release of two albums from the late 70s that represent the last appearances of the smooth voiced Charles Jackson as a recording artist. I bought them at the time and regard them highly particularly the ballad heavy 'Passionate Breezes', an especially strong set that contains the memorable title track(later covered by The Dells), the poignant , glorious 'The Train' and the sexy 'Tonight's the night'. The second album 'Gonna Getcha' Love' was aimed solidly at the dance floor and 1979 was the height of disco. That said some of the cuts still sound strong thirty four years later particularly the gorgeous, smooth soul of 'For The Sake Of Memories'. I've owned and played these albums for more than half my life so my heart says five star. Objectively though they aren't essential albums just very good ones.
