Better than my old ones
Summary:I am not new to the workings of these types of feeders and water dispensers. The difference here for me... I had been using the drinking nipples and not the cups like this kit has. My biggest issue with the nipples was I always had to train the girls how to use them. Some just refused to learn. The drinking cups are a no brainer and they work. No training involved even for my less than bright ladies.Pro's- Drinking cups let out just enough water for my chickens to drink. easy to treat the water (vinegar, oregano, electrolytes etc.) allowing me to keep the water for a few days treated to help with chicken health instead of treating it everyday- I did not forget the feeders. They do so much better on food waste. Not by allot but enough.- Design wise is good as I can hang these or set up on a block of wood/block- Lid for now seems to stay on even in heavy wind.- Seems to keep the mice out. They are clever though so will see.Con's- Minor really but I would have liked a 5 gallon bucket for the water so it would last longer.- Same complaint for the food I would have liked a bigger bucket- Water still has issue in our cold winters. I can add heaters but the lid has to stay off causing the water to get dirty.Overall:I really like these and they work very well most of the year. The water option is great for warm months but not practical for cold months when we are 10% outside. Adding a heater will cause dust and tumbleweeds, etc to get into the water.Feeder is good my girls figured it out quickly with the exception of a few I had to show them how to do it. I have about 30 birds so food lasts about 3 days. If I had my mutant meat birds it would not even last a day. So this is only and option for layers. The cups are great compared to the nipple style I used to use. I really do wish these were in 5 gallon or bigger buckets. good part is I can easily take the cups out of this bucket and then add to a bigger one. So not a major issue.I think with a few small tweaks to the lid I can add a hose attachment for the summer making it a forever water that I do not have to fill. most likely will only take a few parts. The design makes it easy to modify.I would recommend for sure. for the cost this is a good deal. Originally my nipple water cost 40 bucks, with this you get 4. 2 feeders and 2 water dispensers. comes out to about 12 dollars per. You might be able to make these cheaper if you buy all the parts. You do have to put these together, but it is easy they already cut out the holes etc. you just have to fit them together. If you have hens of your own these really are a must it makes taking care of your ladies even easier.

A bit pricey.
Price is one of the weak points on these dispensers, as everything else is about right. They get the job of keeping the water clean and reduce food waste efficiently and very well.I didnt like the flat lid since the chickens can get on top and make a mess. Other than than pretty good dispensers over all.

Great for a new chicken owner
We’ve had chickens before and I was not looking forward to getting another flock and dealing with food waste. You see a lot of UTube videos with hobby farmers throwing scoops of feed to their flock, scratching away and wasting so much food. This is only what you want to do if you are free ranging and want the hens to scratch up the dirt/compost. If you’re looking to keep your flock indoors or limited ranging, this set makes feeding must better. Easy to keep clean and dry with the lid and hoods, you can hang this (helps keep the mice out) or set up on cinder clocks as your hens grow. The water set is GREAT for birds with the cup feature vs nipples. Not all birds take to the nipples easily so this auto filling cup feature allows for even the dimmest birds to figure out how to drink. Again, start at ground level for little birds and up on bricks and then blocks for older birds. Having two sets allows for me to feed and water more birds in the spaces I have. You only need simple tools to put these together, and it takes about 20-30 minutes to make sure it’s all set up right. If you want to be able to DIY the parts later (to upgrade to five gallon buckets or trash and) do not use the super glue.I would recommend these to anyone starting out with a flock.

Great feeder and waterer kit for chickens
I really like this set of chicken feeders and waterers. They are made and designed well and are simple to put together. Although the kit comes with 4 tubes of super glue to help keep the water cup apparatus from leaking, if the wing nuts are tightened sufficiently, there is no need to the super glue. The waterers come with extra big cups which are a nice improvement over the nipples I have used in the past. They are easy to use for all different size chicken and even my crossbeak/scissor beak hen can use it without any issues. They have a decent capacity of a 2 gallon and 3 gallon bucket that last my flock about 5 days without other sources of water. They waterers can easily be placed on a cinderblock and are the perfect height for my chickens. Each bucket has 6 water cups that automatically replenish. They are very easy to refill from the top. The feeders also come as a 2 gallon and 3 gallon bucket with 3 feeder ports per bucket. This style helps to decrease food waste and all of my different size chickens can eat from these feeders. Both pellet feed and crumble work well with these feeders. Just like the waterers, these feeders are easy to refill. My only complaint is that the price for the kit ($59.99 for the full set) is a bit high.

Easy and solid deal
You can spend just as much for a single set. With this you get 2 waterers and 2 feeders so that’s a win already. The water buckets do have to hang or sit on a block or they leak.My chickens already knew the deal when I got these so no training needed. I have 16 adult silkies + 13 chicks, 6 frizzles, 9 Cochins, and another 25 layers regular sized (buff Orpington, barred rocks, etc). These are out where all can access and they last for several days on the water - I fill once a week but we have another large waterer too - maybe 3 days on the feed. These are fantastic but watch because you chickens might try to roost on the flat top making a gross mess.
