this is such fine vermiculite, its akin to dust. was used to keep the moisture in my dahlia tubers and lily bulbs when storage in the fridge was called for over 4 months. kept all 25 tubers and 20 bulbs. then used the vermiculite as a rooting medium when cold treating my ranunculus and anemones over 3 weeks to presprout. had 7 inch long root fibers extending from all claws of ranunculus corms and was able to gently pull 2 corms in separate directions to untangle roots which grew all throught 3 inch deep tray. never lost a single root figber, which wouldve happened with soil. also made 20 stem cuttings that rooted of 15 dahlias and grew them for 8 weeks before transferring them into the ground and the root system was thinly finrous, not thickened from binding. was able to reuse until overwatering caused both rot and mold to build on surface which prompted me to throw away the medium. otherwise it was very effective.

It's very nice and clean. Exactly the texture I needed. However, I really expected a 2Qt bag to be bigger. It's super light stuff, and so the bag was only about 10"x12"x3" (I'm completely approximating, I didn't take a ruler to it). Thankfully, I don't need a lot, and it's WAY less expensive than I found at any local garden shops.

Very handy size and cost is reasonable.

Just used to make homemade batch of potting soil. Perfect blend and really will help with moisture. Huge bag and pieces are great size for seedling start. Use mask as dust was present. Soil quality is light and fluffy and easy to use

Beware! Possibly laced with rat poison. Not only is this poor quality mostly dust and less than the amount advertised but Possibly laced with rat poison. When I poured this out of the bag the air smelled and tasted extremely sweet. Upon googling why the most likely reson is rat poison. Some countries use sweetend rat poison in products like this to keep the rats from destroying it and I breathed it in!

Great quality vermiculite. Works great in my custom soil mix for my tropical plant collection
