Blitzkrieg Components Spike Front Sight Post - Orange

This color is very easy to see with or without scope or red dot. Cowitness works really well. The cost is reasonable and it comes from a supplier that knows sights.I like it so much Ive ordered 4 of these.

I installed this on my Magpul front sight using a AR front sight tool, which made it easy to install. The tool provided by Magpul for the front sight will not work to install the Bliztkrieg spike post because it is a little longer than the Magpul and their tool is too short. Luckily I already had a standard front sight tool which came in handy. Sighting in the front orange spike was very simple, I just aligned it with my red dot sight which was already cowitnessed with the pop up sights. A lil fine tuning at the range and all was good. My eyes are not as sharp as they used to be and this orange spike does make a difference, especially in lower light like indoor ranges. It made sight alignment with targets quicker due to the bright orange color and keeping the sight on target. I have a CZ Scorpion EVO Micro 9mm and with the orange spike, makes it look cooler when the Magpul sights are up.

This post is fine with two major flaws. The orange post DOES NOT glow in the dark with light exposure. At all, only the yellow and tritium posts glow. Additionally, the post has orange on two sides, this is good because it gives you the ability to adjust elevation with 180-degree rotations rather than just 360, BUT this also means you have a neon orange strip facing your target. In the rare chance that target may want to injure you, this is highly visible... I'll be painting over the outside facing orange strip once I have the post sighted in to mitigate this issue.

The faster your eyes pick up the front sight the faster you can make that accurate shot. This front post definitely makes this happen. Easy to install with common sight tool (Not included) and the reflective color strip is on two sides for more accurate setting. In tactical situations this could reflect back toward the bad guy (Small adhesive tape solves this).

If you use irons or want to kick up your buis, these are a sure thing. Fast and easy to acquire.

Well made sight post, makes the front sight easier to see, especially under low light conditions. Easy to install using four prong sight tool.
