I bought TSP to add to my dish soap and that was a huge mistake. (I have a dishwasher, but I prefer doing dishes by hand.) I was using a half teaspoon to a teaspoon per load and noticed that the glaze on my coffee mugs was peeling off and it etched my glassware. I switched to this STP and haven't looked back since. You only need a small amount per load, it's more effective, and it won't ruin your dishes!

If, hypothetically, a person were having problems with laundry not getting clean (e.g. smell retention or grease spots not being washed out) and were to theoretically add a small amount to a problem load in the washing machine, this might do a great job removing stains and helping the water to carry away odors. You know, maybe. I certainly wouldn't be irresponsible enough to do so, but if I were, I'm sure I would have found it worked well.

By using a fraction of a percent by weight of this stuff, castable high temperature refractory materials and cements can be mixed using much less water-- this in turn allows them to set more quickly, with less cracking or delamination from the underlying surface. It also gives them pleasantly satisfying thixotropic behavior.

I have an he top load washer. With this stuff, my laundry is so much cleaner and it's helped get rid of the slimey mold buildup that comes through the holes in the drum. It just takes a could teaspoons per load to make a huge difference.
