I recently purchased the Launch CRP129X OBD2 Scan Tool, and I have been thoroughly impressed with its performance and features. I've been doing alot of work for the last 20 years without a scan tool. And with all this newr stuff and all these stupid modules and sensors in these new cars it's hard to do it anymore without a scan tool. I check into them and came across this and really took a chance. After receiving I opened it up and set it all up and that took some time. After it was all set up I took it and tried it out. I had a car in the garage that I needed this for because I was stuck. I had an oil light to reset and I had some other stuff with the pedal and throttle body sensor to reset because I had to change the sensor. Because I'm not a computer type person this took me a bit to figure out. But once I did it was actually pretty easy. It did the job I needed it to do and I love that fact that it allowed me to watch in real time all the sensors and all the temperatures on the scan tool. That's works great for finding intermittent sensor issues. For the money this is an amazing, handy little tools.

I haven't yet used this tool very much, but so far it seems to be very capable. It has broad global coverage, it has many functions not found in many other aftermarket scan tools, and the user interface is fairly good. It is a little slow, but if it can do things my other tools can't, I am ok with that. It shows that it has immobilizer functions as well as some coding and programming functions. I would like an opportunity to use some of those, but right now I have no cars in the shop needing any of those functions.

Easy to use scanner, not expensive as other scanners on the market and has so many different functions. I would definitely buy again.

The media could not be loaded. Had a three piece video review Amazon only lets one video upload so I chose the full vehicle scan. It’s quick effective, and affordable. It does not have full bidirectional capabilities. It’s more of a scan tool than full diagnostic tool, scans all systems, clears all systems, good amount of data to view. Great for home, shop use would be quick scan and view, I’d use it for a free scan or so something I don’t need to go in depth on.

This is a full-function scanner. It has an auto-vin ID which is nice. It also does some 2-way testing and configuration procedures. It isn't the fastest tool out there by any means. Then navigation through the tool is difficult IMO. I use an Autel Ultra for my main scan tool. I have also owned several Snap-on scanners through the years. The menus and settings could be more intuitive in the launch tool. It's something you need to get used to. For a lower priced full function scanner this is a solid choice.

The media could not be loaded. This Launch scanner is pretty powerful for the price. I have used it for more basic diagnosis and checks, but going through digging deep in the functions, there is a lot of capability here. I have some of the cheaper $50-150 scanners and this thing offers WAY more than those. The way that it’s laid out is a little confusing to navigate but once you get used to it, not bad at all. There are some YouTube videos that help if you’re real confused. The instructions are decent too but I prefer the videos.

Great diagnostic tablet for the price. Very easy to use and works pretty quick. Definitely recommend!

I have not had a chance to use this yet, but I am a bit upset to find that there is a subscription required for full features. It comes with 2 years, but after that it is over $200 per year.Unit seems solid and easy to use.I have now communicated with the vendor and they are promising that the lifetime subscription is included with the product. I guess I will find out for sure in 2 years.I have not used this on 2 vehicles and I am very satisfied with the unit. My son is an autobody technician and he thinks it is better than the products they have in the last 2 shops he has been in. Scans and provides useful information. Even links to videos about the error codes right on the screen. Can email diagnostics to yourself. I am happy with the purchase.I did have to reach out to the vendor regarding the free gift, it is now on it's way to me.

Really poor manual with it, you pretty well have to figure it out. Once you do I really like how it displays and navigates. Unfortunately i have had two which i had to return because the battery drops to 20% in a week or two and now I have to return a third because it shows 100% battery power but won't boot up. After messing with power button it eventually comes on but it seems pretty unreliable in that regard.
