Worked exactly as I needed in my transfer cases and rear differential. I was having a grinding noise at 200k, the oil was changed at 100k, but I changed the oil and still had noise. I added 1 oz to the transfer case and also added 1 oz to the rear differential and my grinding noise went away completely. I was so amazed with how well this worked. It now feels smooth as butter even at 200k! I personally depend very heavily on reviews that are posted on Amazon, as do many other consumers. I not only read what reviewers say, but look to see what their pictures reveal about a products true quality and description. I aim to not only feature the products I review in many different aspects, analyzing many qualities, I also provide my own opinions on ALL the good AND bad experiences I have with the product I review. I take time to learn and use a product as it was intended before I review it, and I have used this specific product thoroughly. My rating system: 5 - Met all my expectations. Was described and pictured perfectly. Exactly what I wanted and needed. Extremely useful product and a great value. Would recommend to family and friends. 4 - Very good product. Exactly as described. May have a minor flaw, mentioned in the review, that does not detract from the products perceived value. Would recommend to family and friends. 3 - Average product. Not exactly as described, or misleading advertising or product pictures. Possibly substandard build quality, or something else explained in the review. Would mention as an option to family and friends, but not recommend. 2 - Wouldn't recommend this product. Poor build quality, not close to being as described. Flimsy and fragile. Difficult to use due to product flaws. 1 - Do not purchase whatsoever. Usually only given if product lasts only a few hours/days/etc. I do not leave 1 star reviews without contacting the seller. My 12 year old transmission started grinding once in a while, cold or hot, and sometimes shifting into certain gears wasn’t as easy as it should be. Drained old fluid, put this stuff in and then filled with oem fluid, night and day, shifts are smoother, just moving the shifter around felt better and went into gears with no effort like it should be. Haven’t had any grinds or noises since using this, I love liqui moly, I use the 5/30 moly gen oil in my car and works as it should, good product, highly recommend

I used this on a GMT800, chevy tahoe 2005 LT with the 5.3L motor. The rear differential had leaked all the fluid out and was making a grinding noise at 375k miles. I changed the differential cover and put in new 75w-90 fluid as specified by the manual, but after all that work, the noise still sounded like it was low on fluid or something else was wrong. That's when I ordered this product, and when I installed it, I didn't need any special tools other than the wrench to get the fill plug loose. I squeezed the tube and rolled it up from the end, similar to how you do with toothpaste. I was able to get most all of it out fairly easily. It did not make a mess. The additive fresh out of the tube is notable dark-grey in color, which is usually how the oil ends up looking after a while anyway- no harm no foul there! The best part- it quieted up the noise! It didn't completely get rid of the noise, but I can't expect it to work magic on worn out bearings. I do not have it in me to take the differential apart and replace (re-press) the bearings, so this will buy me some more time hopefully before the differential goes bad. Since the vehicle in my situation has so many miles, I'm hoping this will extend the life of the rear-end until the motor/frame/transmission/etc goes bad. I've used other liquimoly products before in my BMW, and I was so happy to see it works well on GM and Chevy stuff too!

Perfect MoS2 (Molybdenum DiSulfide) anti-friction additive from LiquiMoly for differentials, transfer cases, center differentials, etc. Note: Will darken brand new gear oil = a good thing. 1-Star reduction due to high(er) price on Amazon; make sure to watch the price, since it is fluctuating dramatically! Can be found at other reputable online retailers for often half the price seen here, but it’s tough to beat that marvelous PRIME Next Day delivery!!!

Update - 7/4/24: This stuff works! I have a 2020 VW GTI that had a harsh manual transmission, even with new gear oil. I added one tube and it improved shifting a lot. After a month (~ 1K miles), I felt it could get better. So I added a second tube today to the gearbox oil and man, it got smoother immediately, right out of the garage! It really eased shifting into first gear, and the second, that was scratching a bit, is way smoother! Now I can give my short shifter another try. :) ———————————————————— I bought this as an additive to gear oil when I replaced the manual transmission fluid on my car. Did not help at all, but I found out later that I had used an incorrect type of oil - it was too thick. I can't blame the product, thus, I'm giving it 3 stars.

Not snake oil!! I put this in a RWD 2004 chevy astro van with 210k on it. When I hit 60mph it had a pretty loud whine/hum. Well this stuff cut it in half and has smoother accelerations. I love Liqui Moly and highly recommend this product!!

Added this to both my differentials and it reduced the rolling resistance and increased gas mileage. The truck Dodge Ram 2500 requires less gas to get it moving and feels smoother and quieter going down the road. Only took a couple minutes to put in both differentials, one tube in each.

They should call this “The Harley “neutral” Finder” fluid.

I was not expecting that at all, honestly by mistake i did mistake by added this product into my Chevrolet Aveo automatic gear box, this product should be used for Manual Transmission only, BUT the surprise is it works for me like magic, next time i will buy ATF
