I was so excited at first when I received the delectable, as I could consider myself a “cookie”connoisseur. However, to my shock the item was much smaller than would ever imagine. And the worst was yet to come! The picture below says it all: These little “cheerios,” slightly larger than a quarter, were so small that even a newborn infant could hold one. The pistachios were smashed into the cookie as if they were poorly slice and poorly placed.. That’s not the worst part though. The worst part is that though they were double wrapped and sealed in a can, they were stale, as if they had been sitting in a warehouse forever. When I picked them up it resembled a resembled a caked “Lifesaver.” And as if that weren’t enough, the fact that some were broken upset me even more. Received 100% of my hard earned dollars only to be disappointed with 10% of this waste of a product. Just do better with your baked goods. GRADE: D-

These were purchased as a gift for a friend from Syria. She LOVED them and asked where we got them. The tin the cookies come in is nice and shrink wrapped to preserve freshess. I'm assuming that the cookies were a hit!!

Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. The product came in a very bad shape. The cookies were damaged and tasted bad. It was saggy, old and not fresh. I through the whole thing out in the garbage

With no ratings I went out on a limb and ordered Zaitoune Sweets assortment. I’ve gotten tinned cookies before and they are generally fine, but these arrived obliterated. Well, one cookie type was obliterated and the tiny crumbs covered everything else. Partially the packing, but also it was shipped in a plastic envelope. A box might have protected them better? Sadly, the exploded ones are by far the tastiest, tho the other two are very good in a lightly sweetened way, which was exactly what I was looking for. The product itself is wonderful, the packaging abysmal. They need to do the little paper muffin cups to cushion them as the other cookie tin folks often do. I’ll eat the remnants and sprinkle the dust over sliced figs, but this is definitely not something to gift anyone, nor could you serve them to guests. Not worth the expensive splurge. I’m giving it two stars because it really is a nice quality assortment. They just need to get their act together in terms of packing and shipping.

These little biscuits are a lovely treat, and a reminder of wonderful places I shall never see again. I fell in love with barazak biscuits (and much else) in Syria, before it was overtaken by hell, and wanted to try the other varieties as both Syria and my beloved Turkey, where these are manufactured, produce biscuits and pastries of such deliciousness you have to book an extra seat back to accommodate your tummy - and I do not have a sweet tooth! (I did learn restraint over the decades.) My first tin arrived in perfect condition, although some have reported breakages, which is not the end of the world with biscuits. I have put in a regular order and will stock up for presents for people who will share the memories ... And me. Yes, these biscuits are small, which I expected, but that makes them perfect for a lot of occasions when a bite-sized treat is just the thing. As one is unlikely to find these Middle Eastern treats easily in this country I was very pleased to happen on them. Even if you have no connections to these countries, these are really yummy as a special little something.

Awful taste. Do not appear fresh, the quality is poor. Will end up in a bin! Overpriced for such a bad quality

Sadly a lot were broken, but, really yummy all the same 😋 so minus one star for some broken bits. But maybe I was just unlucky. Light and crumbly.
