Would it be okay to keep this in the trunk of my car?

I keep mine in my car, however you need to aware that extreme low temperatures and extremely high temperatures could affect performance. In fact the owners manual warns not to expose TACKlife to temps in excess of 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit). A car parked in hot sun could approach these temps.

Can I use this air pump on a Schrader valve?

Yes the connector is a Schrader valve type. Slips over the valve and locks in place. Easier not having to hold the connector on valve while inflating. There is an adapter for Presta valves.

Is it compatible with 40 volt battery as advertised?

I've only seen it advertised to be compatible with the 20 volt PowerShare batteries. It works fine with any of those.

what is the warranty?

The warranty is 3years. I had a trimmer that broke after 3 years and 1month, and they sent me a new one anyway. Great company! And I love the portable air compressor.
