Book is not bad but it is tailored more towards an individual who is investing "fluff" money. Whereas I was looking for a book to help me become more of a professional in the field.

Reinforcing and Informative.......
Didn't know what to expect. Found the book very strong on time-tested fundamentals and core principals; good for any investor, especially a younger person, who wants to become more self-directed and confident in that role. The real world is presented...a good thing... not pie-in-the-sky precepts, pointing out what's essential to be successful, while stressing very hard and consistent work is a condition precedent. Nobody, including Buffett, Lynch, Templeton, or Bogle, becomes and remains a successful investor lacking certain basics and ongoing diligence.A concern is based on my over 30 years as a self-directed investor...Suggest greater emphasis on mutual funds, and the selection of a good discount broker, as a basis for wealth-building through equities...The individual investor faces long odds seeking to build wealth, and a retirement fund in specific, by investing solely in individual stocks...Very few have the time and diligence to acquire and sustain the expertise to consistently and successfully select individual equities...including when to sell. For the reasons stated, I recommend this book, and suggest keeping a copy to remain current and informed on the solid basic pricipals that comprise the book.

Better spend your money at Starbucks!
The author is one of those writers who keep churning out books with high sounding titles to bait the buyer but have nothing worthwhile to say.

Great read, highly recommended
This book is very well done, and it makes for a highly informative and entertaining read. It is a nice book to grab for a weekend, as it will change how you think about stocks and investing by Monday's market open. The 25 habits outlined and detailed are applicable to investors of all experience levels. I'm a fairly experienced investor, but I was still able to integrate a dozen or so of these `habits' into my investing activities. I certainly wish I had these tips available when I was first starting out!The first six habits set your investing framework. The discussions about `tiering' and `diversification' are especially outstanding, and reading / studying them WILL change the way you invest. The next set of habits distills and summarizes the art of choosing and analyzing stocks. The techniques are rooted in fundamental analysis, and really do justice to the topic. The final set of habits is about portfolio maintenance, which is the hardest thing for investors to learn and do. This is an area that is not covered well in investing literature, so I found this to be an especially good area of the book to mine from.I highly recommend this book. Enjoy it.

Shallow in content, pathetic writing style
The content is shallow and useless. Far more useful stuff available online for free. Total waste of money and time.
