Have wanted a thermal camera for ages, but they always cost too much. This was at just the right price point to justify the outlay. It is easy to use and produces a decent & detailed image if you want to see how hot items are getting or if you are losing heat in your house. You can have a normal image, a thermal image or both at the same time, and also take video. There is also an app so you can control the camera via your phone or tablet. Definitely useful and fun to use.

Works straight out of the box. Definitely worth the money.

Really good pocket sized camera I’m impressed

Used the camera a few times over the period of a 6-7 months, did not use if for a few months and tried to recharge, camera would not take a charge and is lifeless. Tried to report on Hikmicro web site, it would not let me report without a serial number, there is no serial number on the camera so cant report. Camera just 1 year old two days ago.

Very expensive, but it works really well. I'm pleased with it up to now. I will be using this for some ghost hunting work, and other general things.

I use thermal imaging for medical applications. I have scanned the brain of a patient , and it showed up a Tumor, later successfully operated. An amazing piece of kit every medical practitioner should have one.

Updated (Oct 31, 2025): Manufacture reached out to me about my issue with the batteries going critical. They shipped me a replacement product (opened box), the replacement is working. I hope it will continue to function for more than a year. I am absolutely impressed they did this! I will update this review if this changes but I am a very happy they made the situation right. Original: Battery went critical in less than a year of light use. Worked decently at first but the batteries failed and now won’t turn on. Batteries are internal and not easy to get to. Replacement unknown but if I knew I would only get a handful of uses out of it I would have not spent the money on it.

I was hoping this would be good but it far exceeded my expectations. This has proved invaluable in trying to track down leaks in my 25+ year old home. It is so sensitive, used outdoors, you can even see the minute temperature differential created in your footprints in the snow. Absolutely phenomenal device!

Purchased this to look for cold spots in the house and heat escaping. Resolution as good enough to see where air is leaking out and the temperatures seem accurate enough (within 2C) Screen is big enough. Touch screen a little laggy but workable. Have not tested battery life nor the app. Need to play with it a little more on setting the temperature range rather than having it always automatically adjust the color range based on the hottest spot and the coldest spot on the screen. Something that is warm at a distance can suddenly appear blistering hot as the field of view narrows and the temperature range narrows but it wants to use the full color spectrum available.

It has a constant Feed Showing the high low and temperature in the middle of the screen as well. Now I can definitely tell when the air conditioner is actually turned on , The compressor doesn’t always kick in. I got it for ghosty reasons, But it’s pretty Regardless Of it being purchased only for ghost stuff, There’s lots of practical stuff as well. There is no zoom, as far as I can tell anyway. That’s like the only downfall of this, I’m not sure if it has a volume recorder either. So whether my voice comes out On the video or not, I will find out.

Seemed to have got a bad one. Touch screen was touchy and camera didn’t function. It was returned. Not confident in this model.
