NETVUE by Birdfy Smart Bird Feeder Camera, Adjustable Brackets, Auto Bird Video Capture, Instant Notifications, AI Identify 6000+ Species

I’m new to the security camera game, but I have thoroughly enjoyed this camera. It is so fun to get the alerts and see who is visiting my feeder. The installation hardware is surprisingly high quality and it was very easy to install. The adjustable armature is really nice and makes it easy to get just the right angle.Only after getting everything set up did the other security possibilities dawn on me. Now, my camera watches the birds and tells me when I have packages and just basically keeps me more informed about what goes on at my house. The app is another story. It was extremely glitchy at first, crashing at around a 75%-95% rate. When I contacted customer support they were very helpful and kept in close contact until the issue was resolved. I’m not sure what the problem was exactly though, because it eventually just kinda got better and better and now it crashes at around 5% of the time which is a very reasonable amount. I don’t feel qualified to speak to the camera specs and all that. It met and exceeded the quality of picture I was expecting and it serves my needs perfectly. There is an option in the settings to make the night footage either IR or white light and the latter makes a bright light come on if it senses motion which is very useful and has scared away a few unwanted guests. I also like that I can watch it live which I enjoy very much. It makes me feel like I’m outside even when I can’t go out. I wish this technology would’ve existed when my Mamaw was alive because after she went into a nursing home, she missed her birds so much. I would recommend this product to anyone who loves birds or even someone who just wants to know when the Amazon package arrives. I already felt safe here and thought a security camera wasn’t necessary but now that I have it, I don’t think I could go back. I’m probably going to buy a couple more when I can afford it.

We thought we were getting a good deal on a good camera, but it stopped working properly after two months and NETVUE's Customer Service seemed to not understand the problem. A Cooldown Time can be selected for the camera and both the videos and pictures sent to your cellphone and the videos and pictures added to the camera card are supposed to follow that cooldown time and not take any videos and pictures until the cooldown time has passed. Our camera kept sending the videos and pictures to my phone following the two minute cooldown time, but the camera began taking videos and pictures and adding them to the camera card every time it sensed movement, which meant that as many as three videos and pictures were added to the camera card every minute. Since the camera adhered to the cooldown time for the pictures it shared with NETVUE, they refused to believe that the camera was not operating properly. Eventually Customer Service relented and had me send back the original camera and sent me a replacement when they had received the return. The replacement camera had the same problem, putting videos and pictures on the camera card every time it sensed movement, while sending NETVUE and my phone pictures based on the Cooldown Time I had selected. I had ordered the camera on January 15th, but didn't mount it on a birdfeeder until the middle of March so it has now been close to four months I have been dealing with this problem with the cameras, I don't need this aggravation and I doubt that you need it either.

The media could not be loaded. This is the second Birdfy product I have purchased. I originally got the bamboo feeder and camera and love it! I got this camera to mount near my window feeder that gets different bird visitors.Pros:-It was surprisingly easy to set up. The instructions are clear. The audio prompts are helpful. I had no trouble getting it installed. I originally bought another brand (before my bamboo feeder) that was hard to set up and would not stay connected. This was a much better experience.-It’s easy to mount anywhere and to adjust the angle of the camera after it is installed.-The app is pretty intuitive and easy to use.-The camera quality is very good especially for the price. It gets great video of the birds. I wish screenshots were a little sharper.-The motion sensor works well.-The light and alarm work well. Scares the squirrels off until they get used to it.The Cons:-I wish you could switch the orientation to portrait. You can only rotate 180 degrees.-I wish you could focus the camera.-The mounting arm could be longer to give you more flexibility as to where you want to mount it.I can’t speak to the battery life as I use a solar panel with it.All in all I’m very pleased with my purchase and am enjoying the daily bird shows.

Having already had the Netvue Bird Feeder Cam for the past two years, we thought it would be great to get a similar camera and watch bird and critter activity on our existing feeders.Pros:-Video quality and quality adjustment options are excellent for your critter viewing needs.-The camera and accessories are easy to assemble - it comes with circle clamps to mount to a pole but I used zip-ties to mount to our aluminum fence.-I like the positionable mounting arm so we could watch different feeders and test which feeder has the most activity.-The setup with the Birdify app was really simple and integrated right with our existing camera so we can monitor motion event videos on the same screen.-We already assumed wifi connectivity would be good since our existing camera had no issues - it's probably 25 feet from our router and signal strength is never an issue.-Surprised by the battery strength - it lasted 3 weeks after the initial charge! Definitely a lot of motion activity everyday.Cons:-Cannot seem to add the solar charger to it so it involves manual intervention to keep it charged (or run a usb-c charging cable if possible)-Our bird feeder camera is grandfathered in to have the AI bird detection feature. Unfortunately, this camera requires a subscription. We chose to just go with the standard motion detection.
