The TOSY Flying Ring has been such a fun surprise. It flies smoother and farther than a traditional frisbee, and it’s easy for both kids and adults to throw without much effort. The lightweight design makes it perfect for the park, beach, or backyard, and it doesn’t hurt your fingers when catching it. It’s quickly become a favorite outdoor toy in our family. This would make a fantastic gift for birthdays or holidays—simple, unique, and guaranteed to get everyone outside and playing together.

I bought it for my son so we could play together, but sadly after almost 2 hours of use, it broke, and it never worked again... for the price, it's really high for the quality of the materials it's made of, and that it works for such a short time. **Update** After writing the review, they wrote to me to ask if I needed help with the product and offered me a full refund, which they did without any problems. They also sent me two new units so I could use them again. So far, I haven't had any major issues using it. Excellent customer service and very attentive in solving my problem... truly committed to customer service.

This is a lot of fun, especially with it getting dark so early now (early November). They are easy to throw and catch and even if you take a hit to the face they're soft enough so it doesn't hurt. The only reason it loses a star is because after a month of regular use a few of the LED's aren't lighting up. To be fair, it does take a beating (hitting the occasional tree and sidewalk) but still... doesn't affect the function, we still use it and there's plenty of working lights to look cool so overall I can recommend it given the price and the expected life of these types of toys.

The lights light up and stay for quite awhile. My grands have enjoyed playing with it and come up with their own games. Strong enough to take a bit of rough housing outside. Playing at night is a blast and fun. I have been told that watching it fly at night is amazing to see. Great gifts and for just for the fun of it.

I’m editing this review due to good customer service. If you are looking for a gift, go for the light up frisbee or boomerang instead. This toy looks and feels like a cheap purchase because it is thin plastic with a glued on rubber edge (to make it softer to catch). However, we have now opened it (since I couldn’t use it as the intended gift) and tried it and got some fun out of it for casual kid use. Pros: It can go a decent distance, about half the width of a standard soccer field with our fairly skilled players. Because it’s a ring, you can fidget with it twirling it on your finger or arm and watch it light up. Because it has a hole, we were tossing it up and trying to throw a lighted orange football through it. It makes cool live feed night photos, which had some minor entertainment value for the kids. Photos attached. Cons: It comes with a battery but if you ever need to replace it it’s one of those circle batteries. The soft edge is achieved with a thin rubber rim glued on, not an inherently soft rim like the old Aerobies. I would be afraid with heavy use it would start to peel off but on its first use it did stay on just fine and served its purpose. The disc doesn’t sit flat - the gap between disc and table in the photo shows the slight amount of bend. Performance cons: Biggest con -unlike their frisbees, the light goes off as soon as motion stops. This means in the dark if you don’t catch it it will be harder to find. It also tends to tilt and arc to the side when thrown - harder than a frisbee to get to fly straight unless you throw it harder and faster. At close distances it actually flew flatter and straighter when thrown upside down (regular forward throw with disc facing upside down), but seemed to need to be right side up for best distance. Every once in a while it wouldn’t light up. Play with at least some distant street lights or a flash light or you will lose this thing. Probably more of a liability when camping than when playing in the city. In sum, based on our test run it is worth the price (on sale) to just mess around for fun, but personally I am way more happy with their frisbee which cost twice as much. We will keep it in our bag of outing options though- at least it’s very lightweight and easy to take with you.

This thing flies well, looks awesome at night, my kids love it, as do I. It's a little spendy for a tossin toy but man it's cool. I kinda want the multicolor one also. I'll wait for it to go on sale.

Edit: Seller contacted me and sent a replacement item (the one I originally wanted) for free. This item seemed to work better as well. The lights shine 90% of the time when throwing and are more vibrant. I’m happy with customer service and their willingness to reach out and correct the issue. Impressive! Updated to 4 stars. I thought the “green” color option meant the font on the frisbee, but the only light color is green. Totally misleading, because the pictures and videos used are all multicolored/alternating in appearance. It’s lightweight, but feels so flimsy and like it’ll last a day and a half. The lights don’t light up half the time, we even tried to change the battery out in case that was the issue and it still doesn’t function well. Waste of money.

Batterij vervangen omdat het maar half werkte. Daarna werkte het nog niet voldoende en alleen maar groen licht ipv de meerdere kleuren. Je moet ook erg hard gooien om licht te zien. Te duur
