Very pleased with this robot kit, all the components and parts of high quality, manufactured very well. The assembly instructions are great; a series of youtube videos. This is not really a child's toy, it would be for teenagers or older, but is fantastic for learning, and can't beat all the sensors and components for the money. Motor hats for Pis can run half the price of this entire kit. The only negative was the wifi was configured for China/CN, so that doesn't really work out of the box, once you flash their image to sd card. The software it comes with is very nice, has open source python programs to learn from, and their own SDK. I would highly recommend to others, great kit!

Fun Robot to build with my son. Packaging was really well done, directions were clear and easy to follow. The build overall was entertaining. I am hoping to expand our skills in python, and this seems like the right project. We are excited that we may be able to add Legos to the top to expand the fun. We had a question and customer service was a pleasure to communicate with and answered our software question very promptly.

First off, this is a fun device with lots of capability. The fact that all of the sample programs are in Python makes it fairly easy to make ones own modifications. I think the price is reasonable for what it can do. You also have a raspberry pi that you can experiment with independently. A star was taken off due to the fact that most of the graphical desktop environment is in Chinese, making it difficult to navigate. In addition, removing and reinstalling the batteries is awkward, and requires removal of a small PCB with two screws. Also with the Pi 4b the VNC connection is very slow; much better to connect monitor, etc. directly to the device. Still need to experiment with it more, so this review might get updated in the future.

instructions on the google drive are terrible, just about every steps requires you to undo the previous step... the real problem is the fact that the raspb. pi 5 image does not work. total brick. waste of money, go find another vendor that actually attempted to get a working image for their kit.
