Shri Guru Granth Sahib: The Awakener

This book is not just a translation, but is a gift through which the understanding of the Shri Guru Granth Sahib flows. After reading this book I feel connected to and understand key aspects of the Sikh religion. This book is a teaching that shows you how to live a spiritual, healthy life.

Perfect to understand and to follow. Would definitely buy again.

Beautiful book well written clear quotes and translation … must have 👍🏾

Quite interesting content, but very poorly written at times. This is not the work of a scholar or someone with a theology degree, it’s merely a guy who just happens to know The Guru Granth Sahib quite well. Despite the fact that he’s relatively articulate sometimes there are many instances throughout of very poor grammar. There is also misinformation e.g. claiming that the power of prayer has been scientifically proven in studies when in actual fact the complete opposite is true. I’m only halfway through but everything I’ve said is still true. Interesting but not worth 22 quid!

Cannot describe in words how great this book is ! I just loved it reading it, and applying it day to day life. Will re-read for sure.

Clearly outlines and describes up all the spiritual topics in English. Each chapter has excerpts from the SGGS with translations. It’s fantastic and great to read together and have open discussions.

SGGS is THE AWAKENER INDEED. I wanted to understand and study the messages in simple words. I got my reward. Thank you MS MANDER. The writer deserves full marks. An excellent write up.
