SS11397 Engine Crankshaft Position Sensor

Just completed a new engine install. Purchased the sensor for piece of mind and not having to go back and replace this sensor which is located on back of engine on passenger side which calls for starter to be removed and very limited space to work in.

This Delphi crank position sensor failed after approximately 40 miles

Don’t buy this brand.

I did not buy my delphi crankshaft position sensor here at Amazon but I can tell you I bought two from another online vendor and they both failed. I come over here and see the same problem. One lasted 150 miles and the second one lasted only 70 miles. You have been warned. Do not buy this sensor from Delphi.

Instale el sensor y me funcionó 3 días, después mi Suburban fallo Enel encendido tardaba mucho , no me marcaba las RPM, tuve que pagar para escánear y salió la falla del se sor del cigüeñal ,se hicieron pruebas con osciloscopio y no regresaba la señal hacia la computadora ,se revocó el cableado del arnés y está bien , se probó con el sensor que se avía quitado y ese si manda la señal de retorno hacía la computadora, me queda la duda sobre si el sensor no es el adecuado o simplemente fallo el sensor que yo pedi es el SS1197 y en la caja del sensor tiene este número SS1197-11B1, no sé si los últimos 4 dígitos influyan,
