Fingers crossed it’s working!
I am finding it really hard to leave a thorough review of this product as it isn’t something you can clearly see. What I can say is it’s a heavy little piece of kit. It does clang about in the washing machine a little. I have started to use less fabric softener as it suggests so I suppose it is definitely saving me money in the long run but I cannot confirm if it is doing what it is meant to behind the scenes, I suppose time will tell…fingers crossed!

Too heavy for washing machine and can't see any difference in dishwasher
This is a very difficult product to review, as any benefits would be hidden from sight, so I can’t say with any certainty at all whether or not this limescale buster works. What I would say is that as soon as I picked this up, I knew there was no way I was going to be putting that in the drum of my washing machine. It weighs 194g, which may not sound a lot, but it would be similar to putting a rock in with your wash load. I mainly use a fast 1600rpm spin speed, so I had visions of it pummelling holes into all my favourite clothes, and making the washing machine drum unbalanced, not to mention the noise it would make.I opted to test this in my dishwasher instead. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now, and I can honestly say I haven’t noticed the slightest bit of difference. For dishwashers, this claims to polish dishes, prevent water spots, protect the dishwasher from limescale blockages and prolong the dishwasher lifespan. My all-in one dishwasher pods do a really good job at doing this for me. I do also use a specialist limescale treatment in my dishwasher periodically too. I will continue to keep this in my dishwasher now that I already have it, but remain skeptical of the benefits without actual proof. I’ll award it a neutral rating of 3 out of 5, but I personally wouldn’t buy this.

Makes clothes nice and soft. But this is a hefty item
I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this, which is a strange thing to say, but I’ll open up as to why that might be…So why? Well, because it does what it says it does. It allows you to reduce the amount of fabric conditioner you add to your laundry, as this thing pelts your clothes in the washing machine and strong-arms your laundry into submission and becoming softer and cleaner…. Great. But, this thing is hefty. It’s a heavy solid item and when it’s in your washing machine, boy oh boy it hits those clothes with all its might. Putting your washing machine on a high spin, means this thing flies around like a rock and you hear it - now, I know the idea is a reduced spin cycle, and that’s what we did/do but this thing is still going to make some form of nice as it spins around inside there.Would I recommend it? Yeah. I would. But it is a chunky little item, so be prepared for that once it arrives - but yes, we have reduced the spin power, the fabric conditioner and added this thing into the cycle and our clothes are lovely and soft so based on that, this does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Noisy
Our washing machine is barely new and I always make sure that it stays toptip my doing regular maintenance cleaning cycle. This is the first time I heard of this magnetic ball so I thought I would try as I am having issues of not smelling the scent of the fabric conditioner on my wash if I don’t use twice the suggested dose. This is very heavy and really makes the cycle really noisy. I now have to place it in a laundry bra mesh bag to silence it a little. I have been putting half of my usual doses for detergent and fabric conditioner in my wash since this arrived and I can confirm that it actually work as my wash really smells nice. I just hate the banging noise it makes.

Solid rubber limescale Prevention
I wanted to give this a try as I live in a hard water area, I dread to think of the state of the inside of our washer as it I at least 5 years old, so I thought it would be a good idea to be proactive and look for ways to lessen the impact our water might be having on the washer. The Tyroler Bright Tools Limescale Buster: Scale Prevention is an old cube of heavy rubber. You just add it to the wash and it bangs its way around. You certainly know that you are using it!It is near impossible to know if it is working but you keep using it, I cant say I have noticed the clothes to be softer as claimed but they aren't any worse.I will carry on using it and see how it goes over time. Its a cheap way to preserve a large appliance.

Fabric softner
This thing works fine as fabric softener without any smell, just put it in the washer instead of traditional fabric softener. This is much heavier than I could think of, although I didn't have any expectation before buying it. Not sure about appliance lifespan (time will tell).

The media could not be loaded.

Much heavier than I expected. Not space friendly.
I know there's some trick to using a tennis ball in your laundry in lieu of softeners, this seems to be another one of those alternatives. And as such an alternative, it too is going to make a lot of noise bouncing around while the load's going. One of the reviews mentioned they thought this would make it better for top-loading washers than side-loaders. A bit better, I would agree, as you don't have gravity forcing it to go all over the place... but that top loader still has to spin so unless your fabrics keep this thing firmly in place you're still in for a noisy load. (Our washer has a sensor that detects how big the load is to save on water so I'm as likely to wash this in a small load of socks--a load that gets washed separately from everything else because copper thread = "specific wash instructions"--as with the biweekly "wash all my bedding" operation.)On the plus side, eliminating gravity from the equation means I'm not worrying about whether it's going to wreck the glass top of my top-loader as I hear it bouncing around in there....Using it in the dishwasher was a little more difficult. On the one hand it does have that big hole in the middle that lets me fix it in place where I'd normally put a drinking glass or something. On the other hand... that's space that's no longer available for a drinking glass. Putting this in the silverware compartment would be far more space friendly but it's much too big to accomplish that....As for actual effectiveness... only time will tell. The more you've got built up the longer it'll take. And depending on the source of that build-up (well water and water softener in our case--ironic that water softeners USE salt for the purpose but this thing is claiming that salt is what causes hard water), it's going to take a while just because that source is never going away.

klingt interessant
