I bought the NOW Supplements, Taurine 500 mg for my husband. He has cataracts and I heard that it was supposed to be good them. I also read that it is supposed to be good for muscle rejuvenation.The bottle has a purple pull off safety strip that is around the top of the bottle, great feature. And it also has a seal under the lid on the top of the bottle another great safety feature. There is a desiccant pack inside.The capsule is a little big, but I can still get it swallowed easily.I can't smell it, it doesn't leave a taste, and I don't notice any stomach upset after taking it. I didn't notice any negative side effects. The first couple of days I had a slight headache, but I don't know if that had anything to do with starting it.We both are taking it, we take one in the morning and one in the evening with dinner. Easy to take and minimal ingredients.I can't tell you if it has helped his cataracts yet, since he hasn't been to the eye doctor, BUT it sure is good for your muscles!The next day I noticed when we walked, there is a hill that we walk up and it was a little tiring, but this time it didn't seem as bad. I also had an arm that was sore, my knee bothered me and my shoulder hurt, that has also gone away!After we rode in the car for two or three hours it was hard to get out and we both seemed stiff, that is gone, we pop right out. It seems to give you more energy and you recover faster.I ran the weed wacker for the first time this spring and my arms were not as tired as before, and they weren't shaky for as long, I recovered a lot faster.I wish it came in a 250 count bottle. I thought they were a great value for the money and I will buy again.

I found this product excellent in helping me feel calm under every day circumstances. No overreaching or negative side effects like pharmaceuticals. For over two decades the NOW brand has been consistent in quality in all the different supplements I have used.

My doctor told me to take Taurine because I was getting painful Oxalate Crystals in my urine, which were causing me to retain urine and get UTIs. It really helps! I have had improved UTIs after just a couple months of taking this product. I don’t eat much meat, due to GI issues and kosher diet, and Taurine is usually found in meat. The only thing I don’t like is the price for the low dosage. I take 2,000 mg a day (4 pills), so it’s not cost effective unless you really only need a lower dose than that. It was the least expensive bottle I could find and I wanted to try it. I’m so glad I did! I will definitely keep taking Taurine supplements. I have swallowing problems but these capsules are pretty slim, so I haven’t had any trouble getting them down.

Ranges from 12-30 dollars an ounce but once I've saved money on this I know I am still ahead in the long run and the tea is much better for me than the Red Bull anyway. Plus I actually like the tea flavor, the Red Bull would get annoying drinking it every single day. This feels more natural. The kick usually isn't as instantaneous as Red Bull but that is because I usually don't have them all immediately at the same moment. But it all seems good for me. I use the B-50 3 times a day since it is a water soluble vitamin it gets easily peed out. With this I know HOW MUCH of WHAT is going in me... red bull "proprietary formula" does not tell me that.

I had no issue with swallowing the capsules but some people can not swallow even the smallest pills. I guess you could take the powder out of the capsule and mix it in something like pudding or ice cream to help swallow it. But really, it was not an issue for me. This product is in some ways like buying insurance and hope your body reacts in a positive way to help extend the heath of your digestive, heart and nerves/brain systems. That is what the brain surgeon stated in an article posted on CNBC business news.Capsule had no flavor in my opinion.

I saw an influencer on youtube saying that taurine lengthened the life span of lab rats, and the same benefits might be applicable to humans. I have been taking it for about a month. I am 82 years old and still kicking. Taurine hasn't hurt me, and maybe it has helped. Who knows?
