The Expendables - Extended Director's Cut Uncensored [ 2010 ] Metal Case - Limited Edition

An absolute stinker - cheesy, pointless and cringeworthy. Dire script, lame acting (except for mildly entertaining cameos from Schwarzenegger and Willis), shallow, under-developed and unlikeable characters.An hour and a half of my life that I won't get back, and would have been more enjoyably spent cleaning the toilet.Don't make the same mistake as me - avoid this atrocious turkey at all costs.

What is not to like about this film. It was said that when sly was writing the scrip that he had so many ideas that the main story was lost as he wanted to ensure that everyone had there moment. That said this is the ultimate action movie 🎥 and while critics complained at the time sly has demonstrated that the formula works with two other films and let’s hope another

Saw Expendables 2 back in the cinema and thought it was a hoot. The first one is less tongue in cheek, more of a straight action film and it's not as good, for that reason. Putting pretty much every major action star of the last 30 years in a film does not, by itself, make it good. Still, it's an enjoyable, if flimsy romp. It has all the clichés of action films, all the stars but not enough of the fun in later installments.

The 4k ultra hd blu ray disc version of the film has greatly improved sound and picture quality over the standard blu ray disc version when played through a ultra hd blu ray player and a 4k ultra hd tv with hdr (high dynamic range) Disc 1 is the main feature and is a region free 4k ultra hd blu ray disc.Disc 2 is a blu ray disc with main the feature and bonus extras and is region locked to region a (usa),so u will need a multi region blu ray player or multi region 4k blu ray player to watch disc 2 or get the uk blu ray as well to watch the bonus features!!!

The Expendables was an excellent movie in it's original version - the only issue I had with the original version was the climax - the action sequences did not live up to what was seen at the beginning of the movie -This new version titled The Expendables: Extended Directors Cut - does fix that issue with the ending - and the ending is far more dramatic and spectacular now - the action sequences are longer in the climax which makes the ending more satisfying.However with this new extended cut comes a few new extra scenes at the start which kind of slow the pace down - and don't really do anything new for the plot.For example there are some music-video type narrative scenes, if you don't know what I mean there are a number of these types of scenes in COBRA and ROCKY IV - these ruin the pace and are really not required - if a scene can be done without sticking a song over it, it should be done that way - it's just lazyness on the moviemaker's part.Also there is a rather dumb sequence showing Dolph Lundgren's character somehow coming out of the plane that Sly and Jason Statham have travelled on to the island of Vilaina at the start of the movie (somehow Dolph managed to misaculously avoid being caught by the other 2 expendables en-route.) this only serves to ruin what were otherwise alread excellently edited scenes in the original movie. Which is why I give this an excellent 4 star rating rather than the perfect 5 it should have been.out of the two versions I prefer the previous uncut bluray release - however this disc is still a must-buy just to see the excellent end action sequences in their newly edited form.If Sly had simply slapped the new ending on the otherwise excellent original this would've been the perfect special edition.This is still an excellent version to watch however and an excellent companion piece to the original movie and worthy of being part of your collection.

great cast and all the action punch in one. i am glad that amazon mentioned to watch as its leaving the prime soon.good story to accompany with good cast. its not a big thing for the young generation now but yes for the 90s kid its super cool.

Item arrived early and undamaged, cd played without issue, if you like action you'll love this, of the 3 films this is by far the best, if can suspend your brain for 2 hours, this will entertain you! Recommended!

Purchased this movie because I had been give theExpendables 2 & 3 from someone who had justchanged all his movies to Blu-ray, This movie wasbought to complete the set, glad i did, I was soinvolved in the fist movie that I watched all 3on the Saturday / night and thoroughly enjoyedall three, will be watching again, to anybody whohas only this film, buy the rest, you wont bedisappointed.
