Ltd Escape the Dark Castle - Board Game, THETBL001

This game is very easy to set up and learn but has lots of variations so should be good to play over and over again. Me and my girlfriend played it for the first time last night and absolutely loved it. It was suspenseful and exciting all the way through. We anticipated dying early based on other reviews but we managed to get through to the boss on the first go but unfortunately got defeated and didn't manage to escape. Looking forward to playing again. We have bought several games over the years but either get a bit confused with the rules or don't have to time to enjoy properly as we only have a small window in the evening after kids have gone to bed. This game fits the bill for being easy to learn without being too simple to be engaging. And it also is very time friendly. Also very easy to take breaks in-between rounds if needed. Top marks all round for me.

Really easy to play and you can get set up quickly. It's nice to have a game where you work as a team as well. Really good quality and well put together and expansion packs available to keep it fresh. Great atmosphere to the game and one of the few games our family go back to again and again. Great value when compared to other similar games from major companies.

Brought for a bit of nostalgia & pleased I did. Friends weren’t that thrilled when I pulled it out, but they’ve not got any taste :) However, I brought it more for the solo play & after a year of occasional playing I finally won a game! I was thrilled at such a low-key achievement. It does get a bit repetitive, but there’s some great expansions to swap around with.

Very cool and atmospheric. However, on numerous attempts as a two player the closest we have gotten to winning is wounding the final boss before we are finished off. The game is quite tricky to beat and is definitely more about luck and what cards you get than anything too much that you can do to be honest. That said it is a good way to pass 30-60 minutes.

Got this game as me and my partner, we enjoy hero quest and other tabletop games this is a fun new game system! Easy to understand and pick up and play. look forward to playing more !

Fun game, hours of enjoyment.

Super quick and easy to learn, with clear instructions. Wonderfully presented and illustrated. Highly recommend. Great for those who are just getting into board games and people who are experienced board game players. Bought this for my partner as she loves tabletop RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons. I am not the biggest fan of DnD, but however, I really liked this game. My mum, who is a board game noob, really liked this game too.

Really fun game with infinite replayability. Love the artwork as well. Give it a try!!
