A MUST have for every home with WiFi woes
I had put up with the Vodafone Connect router for over an year now. Until recently I tolerated the extremely weak signal just at the room upstairs to where the router is located. Without a strong repeater I'd forget about getting any signal in my rear garden. But repeaters have very limited bandwidth and take up Wi-Fi channels for repeating the signals. I was only recently told about the concept of Mesh network and its benefits. I found the Nova MW3 to have great reviews and reasonably priced for a 3-pack (at £79) which most folks can afford and start using in less than 10 minutes. Installation was super easy, just follow the instructions in the Tenda Wi-Fi app. I followed the below steps and would recommend doing so unless you are well into networking and want additional routing control via the mesh network. 1. Switch off Wi-Fi on the main router. With mesh taking over the SSID which all your devices use, your main router has no role to play with Wi-Fi anymore. One exception though: if you have multiple SSIDs defined on your router say one for each band i.e. 2.4GHz and 5GHz, then you will need to keep one of the SSIDs active on the router as this Mesh can only have one SSID defined at the time of writing this review. Whichever SSID name is being ported to the Mesh should be turned off on the main router. Alternatively if the connected devices can be amended to use only one of the two (or more) SSIDs, then I would highly recommend that. Turning off Wi-Fi at the router will reduce band clashes and performance degradation. 2. Connect any one of the three NW3 nodes to the router via the supplied LAN cable. Once connected, use the Tenda app to name the WiFi SSID exactly what you had on the router with the same password. That way you won't need to change any devices' SSID and password and they continue as if nothing changed. 3. Using the app, go to settings and find the option for Internet Settings. Use the 'Bridge' option under it instead of the default 'DHCP'. The idea is to let the main router still be in control of all DHCP (including Static IP allocation), DNS etc and only let the Mesh deal with the Wi-Fi communication part. If you activate DHCP on the Mesh network, then you will get an IP range different to your router's. Nothing wrong with it except some devices can be very particular about the IP assigned and expect network shares etc to be available on the same network. Usually this mesh starts IP allocation at 192.168.5.* ... 5.254. You CANNOT change this to be the same range as the router's range, if DHCP is turned on at the router. Its one or the other device to control DHCP. Or do what I did, and use Bridge option to let the router decide and Mesh follow what the router allocates. 4. Start placing the other MW3 Mesh nodes in other rooms. Make sure the you check each nodes' signal strength before beginning to hammer nails on walls. I have simply left them under my beds in different rooms. They all have excellent signal strength so no more Wi-Fi blackouts, dropouts or unusable signal strength. 5. Turn on the 'Fast Roaming' option on the app. This important step will enable handing over of your mobile devices' connectivity from one node to another quicker, so you don't drop any signal strength. If you use older operating systems like Android 4 or iOS 4 etc then best keep this option off as it won't work with them. That's it! I didn't need to read the manual in any great detail, but its included anyway if you wish to. For the price, the non-intrusive size, and most importantly the 100% signal strength in every corner of my house I can only give this product a 5*. I won't hesitate in recommending this to anyone looking to significantly improve Wi-Fi coverage their homes. Throw away those repeaters and large antennas and let the home router do just the wired networking and routing. Get this or any other Mesh network with at least 3 nodes and sort the Wi-Fi problem out forever!

Excellent mesh wifi for bargain price!
I have been debating on and off between getting a mesh wifi system to hook up into my current Vodafone broadband. After watching some videos online I was convinced and hopped on Amazon to see the current deals - I wanted to have WiFi 6 as this seemed to be the current standard. Luckily I came across this product and after watching a few reviews I was convinced. When I received the MX3 from Tenda I was struck by the great quality looking routers, very small and lightweight but also stylish. I like that they also come with screw mounts build in to the frame of the router, as I will likely wall mount these across the house. Set up was incredibly easy, I plugged in the main controller into my vodafone hub by ethernet and boom a new wifi system emerged. I did the initial set up using my laptop and then switched to the app. After plugging in all 3 routers and performing firmware updates and also splitting the SSID into 2.5G and 5G bands I was in business. I turned off my old wifi and reset up all my devices. I have a fair few smart devices linked to my network (smart thermostat, cctv camera on my garage ( some distance from the house) and various smart plugs, lights and Alexas) and I immediately noticed my speeds and connectivity have improved. I get get nearly full speed connection anywhere in the house and switching to the 2.5G band I can get connection from across the road and the back of the garden. I'm due to upgrade soon to Virgin full fibre and hopefully my speeds will get even better with this mesh system. The network has been super stable with no blips or drop outs. Overall I'm extremely pleased with this product and for the price - I paid £99 for a 3 router kit it’s been a fantastic purchase! Would recommend to anyone. If I was being a slight critic the app is definitely a bit dated and could do with some TLC or an update from Tenda.

Has very good antennas despite being small. A secondary node gets full signal back to base station in rooms where I previously got no WiFi signal from base router. The app is very easy to use and better than web interface. I found the my pings dropped compared to using cheap WiFi routers that ISPs provide. No issue with using it with 20 devices over both 2.4 and 5ghz. The app is basic and confusing for more advanced things. Like your cannot reserve an IP on the DHCP for a specific client.... Unless you forward an external port to the client, then it's IP will be bound. It doesn't support ipv6 at all. The Ethernet is 100mpbs. However it absolutely doors what it says it does. Seemlessly walk between rooms and it handoffs to other nodes without you having to do anything.

PRO: 1. Easy to setup, i configured it under 5 Mins 2. Excellent Wifi Coverage for 2-3 BHK Homes. 3. Economic Wifi Mesh option 4. Wall Mountable CONS: 1. No Support for WPA3 2. MAC Based WIFI Restriction not possible 3. No IP Reservation Possible. 4. Cannot diable WIFI Broadcast (SSID cannot be hidden) 5. No Gigabit Ethernet (100Mbps only). If your Internet is over 100M, its not for you.

I have used Tenda Wifi Mesh before (MW3) and it was good (Coverage was not the greatest, Ran off Wireless backbone, sometimes loss of connectivity and drop outs). I Have setup this one on a Wired backbone so all nodes communicate through a master node. But, it is frustrating and also means you have to have cabled your home. The instructions from Tenda are lacking and could be clearer , especially for setting up wired backbone network so you retain 1GB between nodes. You can't just connect these into your network from my understanding and expect that if they are plugged into your router that it will work. I Had to put a switch in between (Router to master node --> Master node to switch --> Ports to slave nodes run off the switch). Would have been far easier if I could of just plugged these directly into the router ports without having to put a hop in between as it means all my network now runs through the tenda wifi master. Other wise so far the coverage is far superior to the MW3, it is much faster and for the last couple of weeks has bee solid without any dropouts. If the documentation was better, it had a web interface to connect to the first node for configuration and not rely on the app, I would have given it 5 stars, This really lets down the product. But you pay for what you get. If you want all the bells and whistles, pay the premium and go to another brand that offers more features and options. But if you just want stable wifi to cover your home (We have 5000sq/m to cover) and this does a great job of it.

Preço meio salgado, peguei dias antes do prime day.
