Excellent and highly recommended.
Bought these after much online & high street research.I wear glasses and found the field of view of these to be excellent, better in fact than many of the prestige makes like Swarovski, Leica etc.The image is sharp and bright even in low light conditions and for general use as good as that observed through the prestige makes. These are lightweight but very robust and fold quite small for placing in your pocket or a small bag.It would have been useful if these lens caps were joined together to avoid having two separate items, however I overcame this by sticking them together on a piece of wide black "Duck" tape and then trimming the tape to size.I would thoroughly recommend these binoculars to anybody looking for a pair of practical, high quality yet inexpensive binoculars, ideal for carrying around with you.

Excellent Value
A very fine instrument ideal for carrying in an anorak pocket or slung around the neck via the lanyard as it suits.I purchased this binocular to replace a Leica 8x20 that became "waterlogged" and proved beyond repair. The Leica are priced a 3 to 4 times that of the Pentax 8x25; the only attribute worthy of the Leica is its more compact size but for the rest you are paying for the "name".Incidentally, as a practicing astronomer I have wide experience of optical equipment owning instruments by Carl Zeiss et al.Note added Aug. 31. I purchased this item at "old" price some £60 above the current offer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent but fragile
I would recommend these, if they meet your need.I bought these as a light weight carry anywhere binocular when it was more expensive than currently. They are good quality and I found them very useful. Why the past tense? Well, having had them almost a year to the day, I managed to drop them and they went out of alignment. Effectively they became useless (unless you use them one-eyed). Having had previous experience with binoculars that need collimation it is almost impossible to find a technician who can do it and, even if you find a shop that will send them off , the cost means it is often cheaper just to buy a replacement. I did look to see if I could have a go a aligning it myself but I could not find the means (roof prisms are often internal adjustment and these are waterproof & nitrogen purged). So, an expensive mistake in dropping them…Pros:* Waterproof & nitrogen purged. I had no fears nor problems with them in bad weather. No problems with them misting up (e.g. if you move indoors from cold outdoors)* Rubber armour helps protect against light damage - but not a (relatively small I should add) drop to hard ground!* Easy to adjust for spectacles if needed - twist eye pieces.* The double folding mechanism makes them much more compact than others I looked at. (They have a double hinge rather than just being hinged on one side.)* High quality image - no complaints whatsoever on this. I found them excellent despite the small size. The only downside was restricted field of view when compared with ordinary binoculars.* When I look at the price now, good value (about £90). Less good for what I paid a year ago but they were still worth it in my view.Cons:* Relatively restricted (but not limiting) field of view because of roof prisms.* Well, the rubber armour did not protect against a knock causing a misalignment.* The case is OK and you could fit it to your belt but extracting the binocular and putting it back is a two-handed job so I found I mostly kept them in a jacket pocket.I think I will stick with a monocular for carrying out and about in a pocket. While I use larger, regular binoculars I do not think I will buy another small/folding binocular.

Great pair of little binoculars
I tried a couple of pairs of pocket binoculars before I came across these. I was starting to think I wouldn’t find a pair that were light and had clear vision. I wear glasses and was delighted that these binoculars are easy to use with my glasses on.They are easy to adjust, they fold down to a good size for holding in your hand and you can hold them easily in one hand to useThe only slight niggle is, as others have said the case is a little bit snug...so getting them out of the case in a hurry can be a bit of a nuisance. I’m currently looking for an alternative case...but that does not detract from how good these binoculars are

Wonderfully portable pair of binoculars
These binoculars have excellent optics, as is to be expected from Pentax. The focussing wheel and eyepiece adjustment control are precise and smooth. They are much lighter than a standard pair as they are made from polymer rather than metal. Nevertheless they seem to be robust and I am confident they will last for ages. The binoculars are fitted with tightly fitting protective caps and are supplied with a snugly fitting padded case. I would highly recomment these to anyone who needs a pair of binoculars for casual use and does not want to lug a heavier pair.

Crystal clear pocket binos
Excellent pocket binos. Crystal clear image and the pop out eyepieces work really well. Perfect size for an outdoor jacket pocket. Use them all the time when out walking the dog or spotting birds in the garden. Highly recommended step up from the budget offerings.

Lightweight, useful for foraging but not recommended for birding.
Not quite as good as I'd hoped but I think I was looking for something that probably doesn't exist. Generally very good and easier on your neck than your regular massive bins but not quite good enough for birding.Still useful for spotting possibles at range when foraging though so I'm not sorry I bought them.

Lightweight Binocular
Lightweight, easy to hold, I cannot comment on reproduction of view as they were a gift, but they seemed excellent quality.
