I am comparing these CeruGuard waxguards to the CeruShield waxguards that I have been purchasing. As far as I can tell, the two products look to be identical. I tried one set in my Phonak Audeo Marvel hearing aids and they seem to go in properly. Visually and in terms of fit for the one pair of waxguards I tried, they seem to be the same as those sold by Phonak. However, I am very concerned about the differences in the labeling and the markings on the dispenser. My understanding of US labeling regulations is that all products sold in the US need to be labeled with either manufacturer or distributor information so that if there is a problem, you can get back to the company that sold it to you. In addition, products are supposed to be labeled with a lot number or some other way of identifying when they were made so that if a recall is necessary, the product can be recalled. This product does not have any of that identifying information on it. On the back of the package sold by Phonak, there is information about the manufacturer (Sonova AG, the parent company of Phonak). For this product, there is no information about the company that made it or is distributing it. The back and sides of the package have no printing on them. They are just plain white, so I did not bother to include them in the pictures that are in this review. Neither the package nor the plastic waxguard dispenser have any indication of a lot number or manufacturing date. As to why of this information is missing from this product, I do not know. Perhaps these waxguards are a factory overrun that meet all of the same requirements as the Phonak waxguards, or these are factory seconds that Phonak decided did not meet their quality standards. There just is not enough information to determine how they came to be sold on Amazon. In the end, I do not think the price difference between these and genuine Phonak waxguards is enough that I can recommend these.

These ear was guard fit my Phonak hearing aids and the dispenser works to remove the old guard and to replace it with the new guard. Happy camper.
