Very durable ice packs for soothing sore body parts
These appear to be the best deal out there for reusable ice packs. I purchased a less-expensive version with great marketing on Amazon, but the seams leaked within several months. (The other ones seren't the Coldest, either, LOL), As an older American, I need to ice my back and leg or knee daily. The large FlexiKold gel ice packs do it perfectly. I keep them folded in half in my freezer and use two or three of them while sitting in a chair. My pants and shirts provide enough insulation from the cold that I get a therapeutic effect from the gel pack without it being too cold. You definitely will need to have some fabric between the pack and your skin. My wife is a little more temperature sensitive and uses a towel between herself and the pack. Often my back hurts enough that I need to take the gel pack with me in the car when I need to drive for a half hour or more. This works great, knocking some of the pain off when I arrive on shorter trips and allowing me to sit for longer drives on the freeway without increasing pain. As mentioned before, cheaper packs that looked good started to ooze the gel and get much flatter in a matter of months. Not knowing exactly what was in these packs, that was worrisome to me. With the durability of these FlexiKold packs, I don't have to worry about that. They hold up very well. I do recommend that you smooth out the pack with your hands after it defrosts, evenly redistributing the gel within the pack. These packs are very malleable and mold to your body parts fairly well. There are two slightly different versions of the packs. One comes with semi-slick vinyl on both sides (heavy duty) and the other has a slightly softer light-blue fabric on top. Both work fine for me, but my wife prefers the one with the fabric. I don't really remember which is which, as I purchased several of these over a few years, but I think the difference might be whether you purchase the packs with the velcro straps or not. In addition to using these for my back and leg, I also used these very extensively after should surgery a few years ago. I tucked them behind my shoulder blade and folded them over while sitting down. They worked more effectively than the crummy ice-water machine rental I got from the doctor's office. (unlike the AWESOME Thermo-Cool I've used before). I purchased this item with my own money, wasn't compensated for this review and have no ties to the company.

Highly recommend this well made cold pack.
The first week after a total hip replacement I used the Polar ice machine. As I became more active and the swelling went down I needed a more portable ice pack. This extra large gel pack covers the entire area I need to treat and stays quite cold for over 30 minutes. I put a dish towel under the pad and plop a pillow over it to act as insulation to keep it colder longer and to make it more comfortable for resting my arm. The pack is well made, easy to handle, bends easily to fit my contours and its cold regenerates quickly when laid flat in the freezer for about 2 hours. It takes up little (depth) space in the freezer and is quite convenient.

Useful and a Good Value
I bought these to contend with swelling after an intensive surgery. I opted for the two pack so I can have one available all the time. These chilled quickly and seem to hold their coldness for a good length of time. They also are quite flexible too. All in all, I think they were a god value. They're a good size, remain cold, and remain flexible too.

Good product
Inside gel stays flexible when frozen and stays very cold for a long time. I think the exterior will last better than others. But, I wish it was a bit more flexible. After surgery, my hand was pretty sensitive and molding around my hand was painful.

Great Product
We had one ice pack. My wife had knee surgery last month and with the continual need of placing ice to her knee, I thought it best to buy another one. This product came two to a package. These new ice packs are not only colder than the old ice pack they last longer after taking out of the freezer. They are also larger in size and form around the knee better.

Easy, comfortable ice pack
Here’s your review with a smooth, natural flow:I bought these to treat a broken ankle, and they’ve worked really well. They’re flexible, even when frozen, which makes it easy to drape them over my ankle and cool the top and both sides. The two-pack is convenient, as I can use one while the other is ready for the next application. The coolness doesn’t last as long as hard-sided ice packs, but after 20 minutes, it was still chilly. They also refreeze pretty quickly. Another plus is that they don’t leave any condensation or moisture, and I found that a sock was enough to create a barrier between my skin and the cold pack. These lay flat in the freezer, saving space, which is great. They’re perfect for injuries, but I wouldn’t recommend using them in coolers or lunch boxes to keep things cold—they won’t stay cold for very long.Overall, I’m really happy with these for injury treatment, and they’re a great space-saving option.

Great price and quality
Great nice pack. Freezes fast. Stays soft. And the quality and stichting is great. I used to have the tiger brand that is a household name. But they would leak after a less than a year of use. And you don’t want whatever those chemicals are leaking on you.

Excellent size and great product
These ice packs are super flexible and the size is great for the knee or thigh. I ordered the medium size, 7.5" x 11.5", and I am not at all disappointed. They easily bend to the area being iced and keep their temperature for a very long time.
