This looks just the job but I haven't used it yet as I bought it for a trip to Lapland to see Father Christmas with my Grandchildren. I'm sure it will be fine and will be good to have in case we get snow in this country as walking sticks are pretty useless in the ice and snow without a spike.

If it’s icy out all of us using a crutch is playing a game of roulette so I got this and no regrets at all along with rubber cramp ons for urban wear.

I ordered this last year in view of the previous 2 bad winters we had had. Only used it once but wasn't that impressed. It didn't fit that well so wasn't particularly helpful.

I will be extra cautious how I use this. It could catch on some other persons clothing. It needs additional design in that it needs to be encased. I suppose thick tape will do as a temporary use.
