AlessiASG04 AZ toilet brush - toilet brushes (Floor standing, Multi)

I have had one of these toilet brushes for at least 15 years. The brush was never a problem, did the job, never left bits in the bowl!I ordered a new brush head ..About a year ago, not cheap, and bits started to fall off.I then decided to order a new toilet brush, same design, which is great. But disappointingly the same cheap brush head, so when you clean out the toilet with it bits of the brush head are in the toilet bowl.Hoping the brush head lasts longer than a year, but disappointed as the rest of the design is the same, and looks the part.My question is .......is this a genuine Alessi, I have had everything from Alessi kettles to peppermills , built to last, I am surprised that Alessi would make a substandard brush head, as most of the negative reviews are all about the brush head, same problems.Anyone know the answer?

lets face it loo brushes are nothing we want to spend money on - generally they are in the most boring colours and hidden away out of sight - not this one!!!!! its loud and colourful and different and yes a bit more than the usual one but its worth it - looks great in the bathroom

Just bought a second one of these to replace the one my dogs ate. I'd had it for years so longevity is good vs the cheaper options & it's so much fun!! Whoever thought of such a thing from a bog brush!

Having used this brush for 12 months it has not lasted as long as one a fifth of the price. The problem is the brush head, which is made of think rubber spikes. During use over a few months, these spikes fall off from the tip of the brush which then makes it very difficult to clean the pan. I refused to pay £16 for a replacement brush head as this is half the cost of the whole thing, so value for money is extremely poor. On a plus side the burst is very comfortable to use in it's design, just a shame its not as good as it looks.

Amusing to have in the house, robust rubber spikes in place of the usual nylon brush, but works fine

With this thing in my bathroom I smile every time I go there. You can of corse get items with the same functionality a lot cheaper but personally I have not seen any other item with this functionality who also looks so joyful. It's a perfect combination of form and function to my taste!
