GREAT STEAMER POT
A really nice quality pot that cooks well. It is a good size and holds a good water amount so it doesn't all steam away and ruin food, so does not need constant watching, but should always be monitored. Stainless cleans up well. I hand wash to keep it clean and shiny. Has not developed any rust, and I use it very frequently. I liked it so much, I bought a second one to replace both my over-used hard to clean pots because of the value and the price for this one. I have been using steamers for 30+ years, and this one is good quality and easy to use and easy to clean compared to ones I owned in the past.

Excellent steamer
The quality of this steamer is excellent. I've been using mine for about a month and it is everything I hoped for. The capacity of the steaming chamber is large, especially for height. My system is to use 8 inch shallow plate-like bowls bought at our local Asian grocery store, and steamer tongs. The bowls can also be characterized as plates with lips that make them shallow bowls. 9 inch diameter plates are too large to fit and to easily be removed.A couple of usage tips:1) I will often reheat rice and steam vegetables at the same time. Put the rice into a rice bowl and place the plate of vegetables onto the rice bowl. The chamber is deep enough.2) I get best results when steaming using medium heat, just hot enough for a slow steady boil3) If dumplings are your priority, I think bamboo steamers will be a better choice because these steel steamers with glass or metal lids allow water to condense on the lid, then drip down onto what you are steaming. This is no problem for a lot of things like steamed vegetables or Canton/Hong Kong style dishes like steamed pork, but it will be a real nuisance with dumplings. I have read that some people use steamers like this one for dumplings, but they tie a kitchen towel around the lid to keep the water from dripping down. I have not tried that technique.

so functional and easy to clean
I ordered a few steamer pots and returned them….poor quality or wrong size. I truly, highly recommend this steamer pot. Top quality, easy to clean. I cook for one. I steamed two different vegetables, warmed a generous portioned of meatloaf. My whole meal. It came out great. I will use this pan often….cabbage next

One of my most favorite cooking utensils ever
This is great for steaming vegetables, as well as for reheating anything that I've cooked earlier. The reason I didn't give it five stars is that all of the metal edges on each component are very sharp - such that I'm concerned I'll cut myself, if I don't handle each piece carefully. The manufacturer would be wise to bevel the metal edges to dull their sharpness.

Love this steamer!
I’m really enjoying steaming my vegetables in this pot! It is good quality with a pleasant weight to it, though not too heavy for my arthritic hands! It holds plenty and allows me to prepare larger quantities for food prep. The pan itself is excellent for stews and soups too.

quality unit
We steam many foods like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, and chicken. You name it and we steam it. we use this unit several nights per week. It has replaced my smaller cuisinart steamer which is also a good unit. This unit is bigger so we can steam larger amounts at one time. Since vegetables make up 90% of our diet this is very convenient. The base pan is solid and sturdy. It also can double as a pot for smaller soups and stews. The steamer basket is lighter but strong and sturdy. It steams very evenly. Clean up is pretty good. I use a stainless steel cleaner and it cleans up very nice. I prefer a metal lid but the lids from my 6 and 8 qt pots fit perfectly so no problem there. These unit performs very well in my opinion. I can't imagine the much more expensive all clad steamer would perform any better. This is a fine unit at a very attractive price. Highly recommended.

I bought back in 2021. Sturdy, good quality pot and steamer.
Its a heavy duty pot, the bottom is thick and the sides and steamer basket are thinner but it doesn't seem to really matter since its a steamer. It hasn't gotten dented at all, just a few scratches from metal utensils. Good size for making batches of seitan. The pot is also very good for cooking soup, curry, things like that. Very easy to clean stains if you have barkeepers friend. I own a tramontina set made in brazil and this is made in china and tbh I dont really see a difference in quality though they are made differently, this one has a thick bottom plate and my brazil made ones are fully clad.
