Marshalltown 19 Philadelphia Brick Trowels - Leather Handle

Great trowel nicely balanced, very pleased with it 👍

I HAD ONE OF THESE TROWLS BEFORE, HAS LASTED ME 20 ODD YEARS & IS STILL GOING, ALTHOUGH ALOT SMALLER THAN IT ORIGINALLY WAS. SO I,VE PURCHASED A NEW ONE. GOOD QUALITY AS YOU EXPECT FROM MARSHALLTOWN SO I EXPECT THIS TO LAST AS LONG AS MY LAST ONE DID.

Always been a fan of marshaltown I’m 64 and on my last one so I thought i would treat my self to the leather handle one , how wrong was I , it’s definitely NOT leather on the handle it’s wood made to look like leather , know this because the grip comes up a little big to the normal softer one you get on the other trowels , so I filed it down and it’s definitely wood so save your money and go for the normal marshaltown and save yourself about 30 quid

Work tool I'm a bricklayer 12" trowel ideal for long spreads, but be careful other light fingered bricklayers like as well.

these trowels as the one I bought for £63 are not I believe by Marshalltown I have used Marshalltown trowels for 30 years the one sent to me has a reduced diameter leather handle with a cheap hardwood endcap which will not last 5 minutes,it is not as the item photograph and the advert says remanufactured why would Marshalltown remanufacture a tried and trusted item unfortunately I bought mine some time ago as a spare and have no chance of a refund but hopefully this review will stop other people being conned put of their money for what I believe is a cheap Chinese copy

Very disappointed with this trowel, starting to go rusty after a couple of days of use even after cleaning and drying the trowel also seems a bit unbalanced, short stubby handle definitely needs be slightly longer in my opinion, ideal for laying your bed down but a bit clunky and awkward to use
