Definitely grips the bar tight
These were really hard to put on the first time so I left them on a bar for 12 hours to help smash down the rubber some before actually using them while working out. This definitely helped with taking them on and off a bar and now they are not so difficult to use. They certainly hold on to the bar tightly and appear to be made of a material that won't break with repeated use, we'll see.

Sturdy, Strong, Clamps. Be safe, buy a set!
A bit pricy compared to some other clamps and probably more than you need for benching or curling bars, but if you're Squatting or Deadlifting they are worth it. I own a few different sets from other manufacturers and these are by far the most heavy duty and strongest I have. I use them when doing my deadlifts as the less expensive models will slip some when using 300+ lbs. These don't and that makes them worth it in my opinion. Have used them several times since I bought them and they haven't degraded at all using them while doing 405lb deadlifts, and at that weight for me there is definitely some heavy jostling on the set down that could cause wear. If you lift weights at all, just buy a pair, you won't ever regret having qualitiy safety gear in your bag and they will likely last for years from what I can tell from using mine.

The Best of its kind !
The best, good quality not like the rest which are cheap. Spend the money for durable ones. Highly recommend. It’s been 1 year and works like a charm every single time. Meant to last years.

Overall great
I've used these multiple times a week for about 3 years. Overall they've been great. I love how easily they can be opened and closed. They certainly don't last forever though. I train in olympic weightlifting and drop the loaded bar from overhead. After 3 years, these collars can't handle it anymore. They've started to pop open when the bar is dropped, especially since I bought bouncier bumper plates. I'm hesitating to buy these again, but overall they are a good deal.

Essential item if using 2” barbells.
These are awesome to have and not sure why I waited so long to buy them.
