After looking at numerous torches I found this on Amazon for £9.99 with only one 2 star review. I decided to take the chance and if it turned out to be no use I could always return it. I can inform that I have been pleasantly surprised. The torch performs really well. It's maybes not 6000 lumens but it lights up more than the headlights on my car.What I really like about it is it lights up such a large area nearby as well as shining well into the distance. Another great feature is being able to adjust the power so you can have it as dim or as bright as you need. Saves wasting battery time having it on full power when not required.I've no intention of using this for diving but I did put it in the sink and tried it out to find it still worked perfectly under water. The heavy feel to the torch suggests quality and durability.Some people will expect this to come with batteries but I believe it's better that torch is slightly cheaper and gives people the option to buy good 18650s instead of the cheap (usually unprotected) batteries included with Chinese torches. I used two of these dodgy 18650 batteries I had lying about from an old Chinese headtorch that broke, once charged these did not last long but I found they only had a 400mah capacity not the advertised 4000! I have since purchased a pair of Panasonic 3400mah protected 18650s (had to get off eBay as Amazon wouldn't post batteries to NI).I was also concerned that the LEDs in the torch would not be the new type advertised (L2 U2) when the torch was so cheap! I had a look at the LEDs with the torch jsut slightly switched on and I could see these were the new type. You can tell by the little dots isntead of rectangles. I have included a photo of the LEDs slightly on so you can see what I mean.

Very bright however it only lasted 3 shallow dives and then it failed and does not turn on anymore/flashes on and off.
