It’s Really Good but Think carefully before you buy.
Very solid and excellent build quality - particularly where the lights fit - metal fittings so feel a light is not going to fall off (advise anything attached has a safety line, easy to do, have seen others lose expensive equipment to the depths whom hadn’t done this)Heavy.Used with still camera for photography In Maldives. X2 straps included well made and reassure that not going to sink to the depths. You need some proper diving lights with ball joint fittings to go with this, for really good photos even if just snorkelling. Lose so much light within 2 - 3 meters underwater (even in direct sun) that colours and details are lost.I used with Canera fitted with dedicated dive housing. Good to go to 30m. With diving housing on camera, space between handles is almost full and I found Initially trigger hard to get too round the handles. I strongly advise u try your set up in the bath or local swimming pool before going on holiday as you don’t want to find problems after going over the side of dive boat! (The full set up does take a bit of getting used too)Numerous options for mounting. I found the tripod style screw slightly too long to get a good fit to my camera housing and bought a couple of washers from DIY shop as spacers then was fine. This is a ‘keeper’ mounting for people not wanting to jump to dedicated dive camera set up.As it’s expensive you have to think how much use are you going to get out of it??? I wouldn’t buy this just for a single trip as it’s cheaper to rent a set up for a couple of weeks. And the whole point of this is you attach lights which you also need to buy (proper dive lights can be expensive)Ideal for keen divers who already have some equipment (a camera and flashlights that can be ball mounted) and want to improve dive photos.I wouldn’t buy this specifically for a Hero Camera - yes it can be mounted, but you’re better off with a single hand mount with lights for a Hero - just this unit is so big and heavy.(I did in fact mount camera and Hero to this unit the Hero just left running mounted beneath the bottom bracket and got some good footage)Nor would I buy it if you’re a novice diver.Your life is worth more than a camera.Dive tubes easily tangle in this set up, new divers need to concentrate on what they’re doing.

Doesn't include 1" ball attachments
Product looks good, but it wasn't at all clear that the 1" ball mount necessary to attach Shoot's underwater lights to the top of the handles are not included in the pack, so had to buy them additionally - from a different supplier as Shoot don't appear to sell them. Not only was that additional expense, but a further 24-hour delay - which could have been infuriating if this was a last-minute purchase.

Great well balanced & sturdy tray
A nice tray for the GoPro and perhaps another camera at a later date.Last year I was using a yellow float to hold the GoPro, knowing n advanced its limitations, but restricted by budget. The result was a camera on the end of a pendulum. A tray is always better to record stable footage with.At the present time, I've only tried it in a pool and I look forward to using it this season whilst diving and without light/s attached. I did have a macro lens attached though. The setup provided a well-balanced platform from which I could easily shoot video using both hands. I did try with a single hand, but the footage was understandably less stable.I am using an aluminium surface mount to hold the GoPro, with its plastic buckle clip, on the tray. My lanyard is currently attached to the buckle clip, at that is how I was previously using it with the float. The lanyard could easily be placed securely on the tray if I want to.The ball head mounting looks good and should work well. The adapters feel good and appear to be easy to adjust with gloved hands.I have ordered a pair of ball-mounts to secure the light I currently have and another I'll add in due course. I'll also add some arms so that I can position the lights away from the GoPro and reduce backscatter.

So Far So Good...!
The tray is sturdier than I expected for the price, and has performed well so far, whereas my camera work could use more polishing! The only drawback I have noticed is that the fixing screw for the camera to the tray can work loose, but this could be remedied with a rubber washer for it to bite into.

Nice comfortable tray, well made
The tray is very well made. The handles are ergonomic and it feels very comfortable in use. Standard connection points for action camera and ball joints for light made for a quick easy set up. Using this tray has helped make underwater filming more stable allowing for better quality results.

Design fault - Ball joints at top come loose
Product itself is solid and well made.Fault in design is that the ball joints on top the handles are each attached with a machine screw going up through the top part of the handle - itself secured with two machine screws going down into the handle. On loading lights to the ball joints, as per its purpose, they easily came loose and therefore the lights would spin around. This required dismantling to tighten them, something not possible underwater.Day one diving had spinning unsecured lights, tightened over night, next day spinning on the boat before I got in the water. Returned for refund.
