Awesome smoke machine. Great value for my money. The dealership was going to charge me $125 to just diagnose the emissions leak, so buying this for almost half price was a great deal. Found the leak within minutes.Works great. Used mineral oil to make the smoke with it. The smoke really stinks so you should find a place to store it outside until the smell goes away, unless you want your garage stinking for a few days.The machine is small and well built. So it won't take up much space wherever you store it.

It's everything you need in a box minus oil. Baby oil works fine and there is a lot of smoke, making leak detection easy. I especially like not needing compressed air to make it operate. A good buy.

This pump is likely one of the best in this price range, because it does produce smoke with:-good flow-good pressure-good densityBad pumps will produce smoke that lacks in one or more of these parameters. If you happen to buy a pump that lacks in density specifically, you won' even see it.This pump, as someone have already mentioned is mislabeled on the switch:The switch itself is correct ( I for smoke, and O for just air), but the letteringon the pump body states these things wrong, the air where is smoke, and the smoke where is the air only.The specs do not list the current consumed (search tags: current AMPS AMP A) . So, I have measured and here it is:At 12 VDC dual pump only (AIR Mode) - 0.6 AAt 12 VDC dual pump with heater (Smoke Mode) - 7 ASo, if you want to, for instance, charge it with BiteFighter Clean Burning oil and smoke your patio using your Lab power supply 12V 5A, then nope, it won't work, the pumps will make weird noise and there will barely be a flow of weak smoke. Obviously even worse with some socket hog. You are going to need a good power supply to make that happen.As for the automotive testing, it works great. The only thing I would want (and I am going to add to it myself) is a low pressure regulator and flow meter.It has one shortcoming. The way the burner is designed is there is no way to seal it for storage.Thus, not only you won't be able to store it sideways, but the entire room will be smelling like that mineral oil smoke until it dries out. It would be nice if it wasn't so. I am thinking to fix this by installing ball valves on every line that is left open.If the manufacturer fixes these issue some day, they should send me a free one for testing :)

Works as it should, easy to hang in places when the hood of the car is up. Found the leaks in my engine using this and standard no scent baby oil

Amazing little machine. Very easy set up, it took no time to get it up and running. I was able to find my leak within mins. I highly recommend this product.

Works great! I used this to find exhaust leaks in my 2000 Tundra. Easily found that both of my aftermarket headers were leaking. I had thought it was only one side. Also have a 2012 xterra with rough idle and cylinder lean codes. I hooked this up to the brake booster vacuum line and found several leaks in the intake hoses. Fixed those and it's running great now. I used mineral oil because I had some, worked great but smells horrible. Fyi, dont leave this inside your vehicle after using. I left it in my truck overnight and the smell is overwhelming. Aired the truck out for a week and I still smell it. 😅 OOPS, won't do that again.

A must have. Absolutely worth the money. In fact I’d have paid more knowing the ease and convenience and time saving! Very durable , very accurate found my leak in less than a minute which saved me a lot of time and a lot of money. Highly recommend this to anyone that likes to fix their own vehicle. The smell it emits is not pleasing but I’ve smelled worse-way worse. I used baby oil and it worked great. One of the best things I’ve bought for my diy tools and gadgets. Also it’s fairly small so it’ll be easy to store.
