Wrangler Men's Rugged Wear Angler Short

I purchase about 30-40% of my needs from Amazon, but this is the first time I've purchased clothing. I was a bit nervous about it fitting correctly and I'm not a big fan of the Wrangler brand (a hold up from many years ago). Having received these and worn them a few times, I can say these are quality shorts that are true to the sizing, the color looks good, they are light weight without being cheap. As a bonus, they even give a little in the waist, which I appreciate because I have back problems that tight wasted pants irritate. . . and really, who doesn't need a little give in the waist every now and again.These shorts come with several deep pockets, no loosing coins when you sit down. I admit I have no clue what I'm suppose to do with so many pockets, I've given up carrying a wallet, and have reduced my load to a couple pieces of plastic, and a key fob; when needed. But the look is stylish without me trying to look like a teenager again. I do use one of the pockets on the legs for my iPhone, which it fits perfectly. Note: I live dangerously and do not use one of those bulky cell phone cases.I would recommend these pants to any man who is a bit picky about clothing, likes mature man's clothing, ie. looking like a man with a family, but not like HIS father.

These shorts are OK around the waste, but... with every step, there is a little tug at the front of my thigh. It is as though the shorts need to be built with a little more angle toward the front. I run into this with lot of pants, so maybe it is how I am built. Am I the only one that experiences this problem?I marked 'somewhat small', but really, there is no correct checkbox for how these fit. They fit at the wast. The length is good, but these 'tugs' with every step are annoying.

The hem turns up on about every pair of these Angler shorts that I have but they fit great. I like the style of these shorts but they have been discontinued by Haggar I understand. Amazon is about the only place I can find them. I especially like the pleats.

These shorts are for very casual wear; while they appear somewhat tailored in the pictures, they are definitely best suited for hiking or other outdoor activities. The fabric is a bit stiff out of the box, but it softens up after the first couple of washes; the weave makes the shorts breathable on hot, humid days.My only complaint is with the side pocket design; they are angled to prevent anything from falling out during your outdoor activities (good), but they make retrieving your cell phone or car keys quite difficult if you are in a hurry (annoying).

My husband is a big guy. Several years ago we found these shorts at our local Academy store. The next year my husband wanted more and we couldn't find them so to the internet we went. They are very comfortable and look great. The merchants that Amazon works with are always the best. The shorts are slightly long for him as he is a big guy but not that tall. They are very easy for me to shorten and you can't tell that the length has been changed. I'm sure that I will continue to order this product as long as I can find them.

I wish there were more colors. I bought a second pair. The fly unzips lower than most shorts to be gentler and kinder to your dong--the crotch area is not as binding. Waist is a bit tight, but shorts are comfy. Pockets are deep so things do not fall out.I bought a second pair. Wish they had a cargo shorts just like this.

I like all the Wrangler jean products, especially their rugged/work wear. Best quality I have found. The "angler" shorts fit well and I like them except the front pockets are very small compared to other Wrangler products. Also the velcro closure on the rear pockets is almost in the center of the pocket ~ not very smart.

Right size. Good price. Free Fast shipping with Prime. Will order more. About the only problem I had was they were a bit stiff. Once I verified size, I washed them in cold water with fabric softener, Then tumbled dry on very low heat so they wouldn't shrink.( If I line dry, they might as well be starched). All is good. I will update on durability after I have had them for awhile.

A more casual short than many, but very comfortable. Too many shorts seem to be too tight through the crotch and pull way down in back when you sit. These don't. In the past, I always got Dockers but lately they have been cut too tight; maybe it's just that I'm getting older. But these are quite comfortable.

I have several pair of the Angler Pants. Thought I would try the shorts. They do not fit the same. These fit a little tighter than the pants of the same size. Also, the pocket openings are small. Hard to get hands into. They are well made and should last.

the last ones I bought are way different than the first ones I had,,, this pair is way tight in the booty and a bit to tight. I kept them for back up but only wear on laundry day..I just order 2 more pair to see which version I get..i hope I get the ones that have some seat room in...ps my old ones I give 5 stars....hope I can the new ones

I have purchased several pairs of these shorts over the years. They fit well, are durable and comfortable. The sizing was as expected - much appreciated as when I made my first order I purchased one pair of each of four different brands, knowing not all would fit. Three actually worked out, and the Wrangler's were my favorite, so I have ordered again and have not had a disappointing experience.

Nice shorts. I'll order more. They just need to have a larger variety of colors. Great fit and look.

This item was a gift and it fit as expected, they were very pleased. I bought this because he is between sizes 38 and 40 so I thought a 38 would work since it has some elastic in the waistband. Worked out great.

Sizes a little small. I don't believe the ad mentioned it was made of rip-stop fabric which is a plus in many environments. Nice casual pants.
