Great as an accessory to a laptop! All the extra ports for USB and External HDD, plus charging your cell phone or other devices as well! Perfect for what I needed! Easy setup pc recognized it with no difficulty and all the ports work as expected. This was a perfect replacement for my previous one that seemed to have burned out.

Works very well, once I got used to using it. Don't plan on having all ports functioning at the same time, there simply is not enough power, and this hub is better than most. Being able to have multiple hubs occupied with my peripheral equipment without having to unplug all the time is a major time saver, just bear in mind that one must unmount and turn off whatever is plugged in before using numerous ports or over taxing the hub. It all depends on how much power your equipment needs. Set up is a snap, and totally compatible with my iMac. The cord is a good length, better than most, but it is never long enough to try different locations. The design is straight forward and very useful. I didn't really need the charging ports, but could not find an equivalent model that didn't have them and had the USB C ports. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and ACASIS is a quality company. Would recommend to others.

Great product

Don't waste your money. I thought this hub would be a good idea because of the fact it has its own separate power source and on/off buttons for each port. The first week it worked fine. Yesterday, I was using 5 out of the 11 ports on the device (1 LED computer lamp, 1 logitech webcam, 1 small external speaker, and 2 small ring lights) and all of a sudden my lights, camera and speaker shut off and I got a notification that said "Power Surge in USB device. Not enough power to support." Except that it's plugged into its own power source, and I was using less than half the available ports on the device. It was plugged into a grounded and protected surge protector so it wasn't a problem with that. Power surge had to be in the device itself. Had to pull out my laptop in the middle of a call. Now the dumb thing won't power on at all whatsoever and for some reason one of my monitors won't display anything, even tho my monitor was not hooked up to the USB hub in any capacity whatsoever. Don't waste your money, just get USB extension cables and save yourself a ton of hassle.

I’m very pleased with the versatility and performance of this powerful hub. I have a hungry external drive that pulled too much juice thru a traditional type usb hub. This caused power issues. By adding a hub like this one, it now runs smooth and fast. Nice individual light up on/off switches on each port for easy disconnects. Nice variety of ports too. They offer tons of connectivity options. I cleaned up my cable mess quickly as this product easily handled my needs. I won’t mess with cheap usb hubs again. Powered is the way to go. I have so much more room and it works very well. I would definitely purchase this again.

Does a perfect job of exactly what it's supposed to do. Powered hub, so you can power attached accessories without drawing power from your computer's USB port. Which is better for your computer if you have power-draining accessories (like a usb-powered scanner, portable monitors, or you're charging phones and tablets).

Strangely, some inputs simply won't work... overall, it is an ok hub.
