Stardust Paperback – 6 September 2001

OK.. I bought this for my daughter who is 17 and getting ready to graduate high school. It was required for her to read and to do a report on. She said she liked it a lot, but didn't give me specifics. So... for what it is worth (not much insight.. sorry) that is my review. The book served its purpose on this purchase.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. John Gribbin writes clearly and simply, and seems to be able to anticipate all the questions the reader might ask. The section on supernovae is quite difficult but I was delighted to come away with an understanding, and will probably read this book again. Brilliant!

Terrific story. Terrific story telling. This book should be required reading for high school graduation. Our society is scientifically illiterate. John Gribbin's writings make a significant contribution to educating the public about the nature of the "world" they live in as well as clarity to the meaning of "scientific theory" versus "belief."

Wish I could have understood more of it
